• 3 Sciences (Biology, Chemistry or Equally Rigorous Science Course)

• 2 Foreign Language courses (Bright Futures Requirement)

Requirements for all students
• One online course w/FVS or VC (Entire course must be 80% complete to participate in Sr. Activities.)
• Must pass the Algebra 1 EOC to earn a high school diploma
• Must take Geometry, U.S. History, and Biology EOCs
• Pass Grade 10 ELA assessment
• Meet minimum GPA requirement – 2.0 (2.5 @NDHS)
• Earn an ‘Accelerated Point’
• DE course with C or better
• Score 3+ on AP test

Advanced Placement (AP)• Students interested in potential college
course credit can enroll in several of the AP courses available: – English Literature

– World History
• Students who score 3 or higher on the AP exam are eligible to receive college credit from colleges and universities.

Policies
Attendance Policy
• Anytime a student is not present in class
for any reason other than a specific school
related function, (i.e. field trips, athletic
events, assemblies, etc.) shall be
designated an absence.
Excused Absence• Absences shall be excused ONLY for the
following reasons with appropriate
documentation:
– Personal illness
– Illness or death of an immediate family
member
– Special circumstances with prior approval of
both the administration and the
parent/guardian such as court,
observances, school function.
Unexcused Absences
A failing grade shall be recorded for the period of the “unexcused” absence.
•Work may not be made up for credit due to unexcused absences.
•Students who are suspended from school during semester exams shall be allowed to make up these exams.

Dress Code• Shorts, Skirts, Dresses
– Must be below the finger tips.
– May not be backless, strapless, nor have thin straps (less than two inches wide).
– No see through unless slip or camisole is worn.
• Shoes must be worn at all times. (House shoes, bedroom shoes, shower shoes, or slippers are prohibited.)

Dress Code• No Caps, hats, bandannas, headbands,
athletic sweatbands, hoods, do-rags, pajamas, etc.
• Shirts, Blouses, Sweaters
– They must cover the midsection area, and be close fitting under the arms. Cut-offs and bare midriffs are forbidden.
– No backless, strapless, or with thin straps less than 2" wide are allowed.
Consequences:• Student must change into appropriate clothing.
• Parent/guardian will be called.
• Repeated dress code violations will be
considered insubordination.
• Repeated violators of the dress code will be
required to wear a New Dimensions High
School T-shirt or Polo shirt with
jeans or slacks for the remaining
semester or as otherwise
directed by the administrator.

PLEASE make sure that you check with your student to
see if they have any lab fees for anything.
All lab fees must be paid to Mrs. Sosa. Students can pay
their fees to Mrs. Sosa in the Library during lunch,
before, or after school.
Any student who has not paid their fees after two weeks
will not be allowed to participate in class/athletic/club
activities.
