AFTER the sporting fever of the Olympics fades,

there is an artistic time ahead in Heswall, with

the Riverside Players performing Calendar Girls at

Heswall Hall this month and preparations moving

apace for the towns arts festival in October. Heswall

Operatic Society are holding an open evening ahead

of their 100th anniversary celebrations and the St

Peters Singers are encouraging new voices for their

performance of Handels Messiah.

In this edition weve got news from Heswall Sea

Heswall Neighbourhood Policing Team is working in partnership with the Wirral

Chamber of Commerce and traders to identify persistent shoplifters.

This is with a view to naming and shaming them along with seeking Banning Orders,

Bail Conditions and CRASBOs to deter them.

The installation of upgraded CCTV and the expansion of the Shop Link radio systemwill help in providing intelligence and evidence in order to prosecute all offenders.

POLICE responded to concerns about burglaries in vulnerable businesses and homes

in Heswall by providing a highly

visible presence. A number of

individuals were stop checked,

with two arrested on suspicion of

shoplifting and burglary.

Moorland House School is seen in Hillside Road, Heswall. Founded by Mr L

Dobie in the early 1900s, it was eventually demolished in the 1970s and replaced

by houses. The road at the bottom is Dawstone Road.

Heswall Railway Station as it was in the early 1900s, looking towards

Thurstaston. The station masters house is between the two canopies by the

bridge in the background.
