COMPOSITES ARE ALREADY A SUCCESS STORY IN A WIDE RANGE OF INDUSTRIES
THE FOCUS OF HI-TECH COMPOSITES NOW SETS NEW TRENDS IN CONSTRUCTION 5
REMARKABLE ARCHITECTURAL EXAMPLES BUILT WITH VARIOUS COMPOSITES
COMPOSITES HAVE MORE SUPERIOR PROPERTIES THAN CONSTITUENT CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
*Composites used for this Buildings are not from Better Future Buildings Solution

.While a variety of SIP´s are on the market non are made like NCSIP with the innovative all green material
Boards: Metal, plywood, cement. Magnesium oxide,
OSB (Oriented Strand Boards)
Core: Polystyrene (EPS and XPS), Polyurethane Foam, Honeycomb
(HSC)
SIP´s combine several components of conventional building materials.
SINCE 1930 THE TRADITIONAL SOLUTION – STRUCTURED INSULATED PANELS (SIP)
SIP„S COMBINE SEVERAL COMPONENTS OF CONVENTIONAL BUILDING MAERIALS www.sips.org
SIP is a sandwich structured composite, consisting of an insulating layer
of rigid core sandwiched between two layers of structural board
Standard SIP construction has already a tradition in US, Japan and China
with the following materials used:
7
NCSIP – AFFORDABLE, ECONOMICAL, ECOLOGICAL, SUSTAINABLE, INNOVATIVE
A technology option and business
opportunity offered to the world by :
NCSIP´s combine several components of building material all in one material:
• Joists & Studs,
• Exterior and Interior Walls,
• Roof, Floor, Ceiling
• Foundation
Exceptional characteristics:
• Fire-Resistant,
• Water Repellent
• Thermal Insulation,
• Sound Barrier,
• Mold Prevention,
• Vermin and Termites Resistance,
• Heavy Load Bearing,
• Outperforms Axial Load Strength.
Boards: Kenaf , Hemp, Flax ,Sisal, Weed- and Rice Straw and others made out of a
non-woven felt – “All Natural Material”
Core: Bio Foam. Linseed EP, Weed, Rice straw, Hemp or Jute Fibre Mash.
NCSIP is a natural breathing material delivering a comfortable indoor climate.
NCSIP – THE 21ST CENTURY BUILDING MATERIAL
Size: 1.200 mm wide X 2.500 mm to
6.000 mm long.
Thickness: from 40 mm to 140 mm

NCSIP COUNTERACTS TO SAND SHORTAGE – CEMENT SHORTAGE – SKILLS LABOUR SHORTAGE
No Sand No Cement No Bricks
No Heavy Machines No Wood
No Steel
NCSIP - BEST REPLACEMENT OF CONSTITUTENT CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS
9
NCSIP- A DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION BASED ON STATE OF THE ART R+D
CONTINUOUS MATERIAL, PROCESS AND OPTIMIZATION OF R+D – TURNING SCIENCE INTO BUSINESS
FRAUNHOFER-INSITUTE FOR MECHNANICS OF MATERIALS, HALLE, GERMANY
Task: Material and process optimizatioin from raw material to finished panels for C3.
MASSACHUSETTS
INSTITUTE OF
TECHNOLOGY
INSTITUTE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT, LISBON, PORTUGAL
MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
In cooperation with
Task: Develop a chemically neutral fiberglass laminate and composite board and
create a multiple system/technology out of numeous materials for N2Build.
• Property testing on material behaviour such as:
Fire – Water – UV Light – Sound – Temperature – Vermin – Compression – Expansions – Energy Saving
Load – Bending – Tensile – Sheer Strength – Joining – Stifness – Static – Chemicals – Product Durability
• Increase cost effectiveness – increase resource efficiency of processes, components and systems.
• From Bio based materials to the manufacturing technology up to tailor-made Neutral Composites.
• Innovate a „Craddle to Craddle“ Solution for a Fully Reusable Panel
10
Job Creation - semi and unskilled worker can do the job using segmented easy to follow 3D instruction video.
Logistic- no heavy machines and equipment for construction needed (cranes, concrete mixer, cement factories)
Weight – 3 sqm exterior wall panel only 20 kg, ideal for extensions, penthouse and attic flats no static issues.
Noise pollution – building with panels is non-intrusive to neighbors
Waste reduction – only little recyclable waste produced - today’s conventional construction waste is equivalent to 3
times household waste.
Sustainability – long maintenance free life cycle due to weather and water resistance reduces maintenance costs
over the life span by 40%
Production - modular factory production (building homes like cars) or mobile panel factory allows on-site production
• Scalable - in all areas, material, manpower, production
Fast construction – i.e. build a 50sqm house in less the a week.
Affordable – price target far below conventional constructions in each territory, could go down to € 200 per sqm
SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL ADVANTAGE
ENABLING TECHNOLOGY BEYOND CONVENTIONAL LIMITS – CREATING A NEW HOUSING MARKET 11
Residential: Commercial: Public:

Worldwide high demand driven by exponentials growth of
population and urbanization and rural de-population.
World Bank research results:
2012: 200 million homes needed for 1 billion people
2016: 300 million homes needed for 1.6 billion people
2030: forecast 600 million homes for 3 billion people
2050: the world population will double.
Not included in the search results are the refugees. (65 million)
The average time for refugees in camps worldwide is 17 years
according to UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency.
UN Habitat estimates that by 2050 66% of the population will live in
urban areas, an increase of 2.5 billion and 90 % of it in Africa alone.
60 % of the homes needed have to be build by 2030
