HINDERMANN THERMO MAT LUX & LUX-DUO

The one-piece LUX and LUX-DUO outer insulation mats provide both ideal heat

insulation for winter travels and effective protection against the sun’s rays for the summertime. When used in winter, outer in-sulation increases the surface temperature on the inner side of the panes, thereby considerably reducing the risk of condensation forming inside the vehicle.

If the window mat is closed over in summer, the sun’s rays won’t get through the glass pane in the first place, meaning the interior will not heat up so easily.In beautiful sunny winter weather the front flap can be opened, allowing the sunshine to add to the heat to the interior, saving the camper heating energy costs.

Material:The outer surfaces of the material are made of strong weather-re-sistant PE fabric. The light-weight approx. 20 mm thick interior insulation is made of polyester and does not absorb moisture. The material is winter-proof and is easy to roll up or fold even in very cold weather.

Attachment:Attaching it to the vehicle is easy: An internal pocket is attached in the driver door area, hung over the edge of the door.

HINDERMANN INSULATION offers two options for attachment on the passenger side:

a) Attachment with welt tracks (horizontal and / or vertical)The insulation mat has textile welting attached along the top edge as well as loosely attached textile welting with a very wide Velcro fastening. The insulation mat is guided into the horizontally attached welt track. The loose welting with Velcro fastening is guided into the vertical rail in such a way that the insulation mat can be attached at the top. (See photos page 9). The advantage of this form of attachment is a tight seal on both sides. What’s more, no water (snow) can run behind the mat in the welt track area.You can use just one welt track if you like. Welt tracks are not included as standard.

b) Attachment using five LOXX press studswhich are included as standard with every insulation mat. Their lower parts can either be bonded to the vehicle (e.g. with Sikaflex sealant) or screwed in. The advantage of this type of attachment is its inconspicuousness.NOTE: The welt tracks or the LOXX press-stud bottom sections should always be assembled by your local professional workshop.

LUX 1Traditional standard design, customised for all standard integrated models.

LUX 2The LUX-2 version differs from the LUX-1 only in its middle bar along the top edge. This enables added convenience in handling when opening and closing the front flap (without ladder/step stool) in vehicle models with an especially high front end.

Accessory:Screen insert as a means of sun protection and visor HINDERMANN offers an interesting optional accessory for this model: a detachable screen insert. The screen insert acts externally as a means of protection against the sun and as a visor, while ensuring unobstructed outward vision from the inside.

LUX-DUO:To ensure effective protection against cold draughts from the non-insulated engine compartment, the wheel arches and the footwell, HINDERMANN has developed the add-on module LUX-DUO for winter holidays too. This is a lower section that can be connected to the window mat by means of a Velcro fastening. It is made of the same material. The insulation in the “lower part” is however a little thinner; this is to save on bulk while travelling. There is also a wind-proof cover with integrated eyelets on the bottom edge, offering the entire driver’s compartment effective protection against any penetrating cold. LUX window insulation and the LUX-DUO add-on module can also be purchased individually.

HINDERMANN THERMO MAT CLASSIC

High-quality external insulation mat which is distinguishable by its great insulation properties in winter and light-weight design. The material is winter-proof and is easy to roll up or fold even in very cold weather.

As is standard with HINDERMANN external insulation mats, the front flap opens in the CLASSIC version too. We recommend kee-ping the driver’s compartment doors slightly ajar while attaching the mat in order to hang the adjustable door pockets. This ensures that the insulation mat is securely positioned and sits perfectly.Rubber tensioners and a storage bag are included as standard.

Attachment:An internal rubber tensioner along the top edge ensures a tight seal and enables quick attachment. There are five lashing straps with plastic eyelets along the bottom edge. The windscreen wi-pers can generally be covered up too or lie on top of the mat as an added means of securing it. Various rubber tensioners and one rubber tensioner for the channel along the top edge are included as standard. The rubber tensioners can be shortened with scissors if need be. The rubber tensioners can be fastened to the bracket of the top exterior mirror (see photo). For vehicles without top exterior mirrors we recommend attaching the snap-on hooks of the rubber tensioner to the LOXX press-studs (the bottom part of which can be glued or screwed) or fastening the window mat using two adhesive LOXX press-studs (for a description of LOXX press-studs see catalogue page 49) (one pack contains two pieces) Note: The rubber tensioner is already incorporated.

HINDERMANN INTERNAL INSULATION MAT TRAVEL

Protects the interior against sun, heat and cold. Stops people looking in from outside.

Manufactured from HINDERMANN Thermo-Foil, coated on both sides with an aluminised polyester sheet. The edges are tightly framed all around. There are pull loops along the top edges.

The mat is attached by means of large quality suction cups, which have a high level of holding power. These sit in pre-assembled clip eyelets, which don’t tear out. The suction cups with knurled head screws are enclosed loose – not assembled!

The insulation mats for the side windows of the driver’s cab are designed in a way that the outer contours are clamped in the door rubbers so that an insulating air cushion is created between the window cover and the window panes!

Homely cars need a homely interior insulation!

A new quality in the internal insulation mats!This 3-piece cab-set is made from a 8 mm foam insulation and closes tightly with the contours from the windows. It isolates effective against cold exposure.

The material, PU foam in a sandwich structure, is already well known from other HINDERMANN products. In the direction of the living area it exhibits a pleasant, light grey polyester velour that is coated with an aluminised polyester sheeting which reflects the sun-rays.

Attachment is easy and quick as usual using suction cups. These are particularly large with diameters of 40 mm and have a high level of holding power. The suction cups with knurled head screws are enclosed loose – not assembled!

All edges are sewn with a ribbon and each mat has pull loops for quick loosening.

The insulation mats for the side windows of the cab are developed in a way that the outer contours are clamped in the door rubbers so that an insulating air cushion will be created.

HINDERMANN THERMAL CURTAIN

Thermal curtain for the drivers cabinThis U-shaped thermal curtain separates the driver‘s cab from the dashboard area. It insulates against cold radiation from the unheated driver‘s cab and protects against loss of heat in the living area. It has been part of the Hindermann range for many years and enjoys increasing demand due to its homely atmosphere and high level of usefulness. HINDERMANN is now offering the model for the Ducato 2007/2014, Ford Transit 2014 and Sprinter 2007/2014 as standard with a flap for accessing the radio and ventilation. The flap comes with a magnetic fastener and fastening button.

The highlight of these models is the easy attachment: There is a clipalong the top edge which is moved between the roof liner and the sun visors or laid around the sun visors. Only a few press studs along the B-pillar ensure a tight seal and hold.

If there is no frost outside, and you are in a hurry, you only have to put up the curtain and slide the clip between the roof liner and the sun visors. This way, side mounting is not necessary.

The other models are fastened with press studs along the top edge and on the sides. The press-stud top parts are integrated, the bottom screw parts are included in the delivery.

Material: The insulation is manufactured from approx. 8 mm thick PU foam core in a sandwich structure. In the direction of the living area it shows a light grey polyester velour and to the outside an aluminised polyester sheeting.

Protection against penetrating cold in the foot well in two versions:

An effective addition to the thermal screen. In exactly the same way this dividing mat insulates against cold draughts and heat loss in the foot well.

• Universal mat, size approx. 176 x 60 cm for the foot well area below the dashboard

• Specially developed for Ducato > 2014 for the foot well area below the dashboard and the driver’s cabin floor between the seats. Enjoy gentle radiant heat in the otherwise “cool zones”.

With the newly developed HINDERMANN heating elements in 2 versions (with 5 meter connection cable) you can quickly and conveniently benefit from heat in the different areas of your vehicle.

For example, the single module ensures pleasant heat radiation in the areas: dinette / living area seating / sleeping area/ alcoves / roof hood or, by means of the press stud fastening, even un-derneath a table.

The seat module is designed for attachment to the driver’s cab seats of the Ducato 2007/14, in order to create heat radiation in the foot and leg area. The element is equipped with a slot opening to facilitate operating the seat adjustment.

The radiant heat can achieve a heat of up to 37 °C. In case of incorrect application (see safety instructions) the integrated tem-perature sensor automatically switches off at a temperature of 65 °C, ensuring product safety. Power connection via the external power supply by means of the standard 24 V table power pack which is included in scope of delivery.

For attachment, all heating elements are equipped with 4 press studs as well as rear Velcro strap including the corresponding counter parts.

As an additional accessory for all-round comfort we offer the tried and tested HINDERMANN THERMAL CURTAIN for the Ducato 2007/14 in the special “Comfort” version with sewn on Velcro straps. Heating elements in 2 different heights (foot well / shoulder area) can be fixed on this.

not suitable for heating up the room temperature.* The heating elements may not be used in partial areas as an

Description: This thermal curtain perfectly fits the door opening of the Ducato Type 250/290 (model from 2007, variant with high door opening) - universally suitable for most versions and installa-tions of individual vehicle dealers. As shown in the example, the fly screen door can remain mounted (size 2), even when the sliding door is closed! The thermal curtain comes with a shoulder-wide access. The “flexible door” adapts to the shape of the B-pillar in the edge area, and clips at the bottom and top ensure a tight seal.

Adaptation options: In some cases, for the initial assembly, it might be necessary to perform some adjustment work, such as cuts or cutting off protruding material. For this, the thermal cur-tains in the edge areas can be cut easily, without diminishing the insulation function, for example in the area of the wall cabinet.

Installation of the sliding door insulation: The insulation is fastened along the top edge and in front of the kitchen block with a few press studs. A clip fastened with Velcro ensures a tight seal between the kitchen counter-top and the wall cabinet. The press studs are pre-mounted, the bottom parts as well as assembly instructions are part of the delivery scope.

Material: The sandwich structure is constructed the same way as for the thermal curtain for the driver cabin (see page 18). The aluminised polyester foil does not absorb any moisture, if, for example, there is rain/snow when the sliding door is open.

HINDERMANN THERMO MAT

For caravan and camper van vent windows

The special feature of this newly developed insulation mat is the side tight closure between the window edge and the vehicle. It is pulled in to a welt track above the window. Comes with integrated LOXX press studs for attachment along the underside, including loose adhesive bottom parts.

The mat can be conveniently rolled up and fastened with 2 tensio-ning straps (50 cm each, with metal clip). The helios grey exterior insulation mat is manufactured from a 5mm thick and fully porous winter-proof PVC foam. The mat remains flexible even in very cold weather. Along the top side is a textile grip-strip (Ø 7,0 mm), the other 3 edges of the insulation mat are trimmed with tape.

Due to the lateral padding the outer dimension of the mat is 7 cm broader than the window size. (Please consider for the welt track.)

To keep troublemakers like mosquitoes and flies outside and increase living comfort, HINDERMANN has further optimised the famous insect-protection curtains. ‘HINDERMANN INSECT PROTECTION CURTAINS’ are custom matched to the body cut-out of all vehicle models and always provide full coverage of the opening. Lead curtain tape is welded along the bottom edges as a seal.All versions have multi-directional zip fasteners, can be operated from inside and outside and enable problem-free access. For example, on the curtain for the rear door of the Ducato the zip fastenings are positioned in such a way that the rear window can be opened with ease (photo p. 27) or that access to the gas cylinder cabinet or the storage compartment is possible without having to open the entire area. The curtain for the rear flap of the VW T5/T6 has a zip fastening in the centre.

Material:The material is a close-meshed, grey, non-flammable polyester fabric with very good visibility outwards (see photo p. 27) and good air circulation. It shields up to 65 % of sunlight, thereby significantly reducing the build-up of heat in the vehicle.

Keeps pests out!

Rear door assembly:The new magnetic fastening has made attaching the curtains much easier and much quicker. All that needs to be done is for the magnetic strip to be placed in the body seam along the door weatherstrip. No press-studs, no Velcro straps. The curtains can be removed again just as fast or, alternatively, left in place while travelling. No adjustment need be made while disassembling.

The curtain for the rear flap of the VW T5/T6 has the magnetic fastening too, only the fastening is provided in the form of a Velcro strap on the inner lining at the level of the tail lights. A self-sticking Velcro strap is included as standard.

Sliding door assembly:For the sliding door section of the Ducato >2007/2014 we offer two versions which vary in the height of the door cut-out and the opening (right or left). A magnetic fastening is used for attachment. Adjustments are not necessary.A multi-directional zip fastening operable from inside and outside is integrated in all models.

Gable profileGable sections for camper vans and caravans help make the draining away of water from your protective cover more easy and prevent / reduce possible puddles. They are suited to each roof of your caravan or camper van and can also be subsequently used for previously available Hindermann protective covers. The gable height of approx. 26 cm is higher than the roof window and antenna. The 2-part gable section with dovetail joint (precision component cut using water jet) comprises of solid and weather resistant PE foam which does not absorb any water. It is assembled in the central section and always stabilised with 4 foot supports. Its positioning and the number of spacing sections is affected as required. The installed rear door jacket protects against any draughts coming through the cracks of the door, especially in the sleeping area. It is securely fastened to the vehicle with a stable, 50mm wide belt strap, which is adjustable and has a snap closure. The belt strap is guided through stitched tunnel loops, and is therefore secured against slipping. In addition, the rear door jacket has 2 eyelet strips, which can be tensioned to the wheel arches, with the two rubber tensioners included in the scope of delivery.

Universal for integrated mobile homesmade of Tyvek SUPRA-FC

The front protective cover extends around the sides to varying degrees (depending on the vehicle model) and is fastened with two eyelet straps and rubber tensioners on each side. A rubber strap provides a tight seal along the bottom edges and a rubber tensioner provides a tight seal along the top edge. This rubber tensioner can be fastened to the brackets of the top exterior mirrors on both sides (see photo). For vehicles without top exterior mirrors we recommend attaching the snap-on hooks of the rubber tensioner to the LOXX press-studs (the bottom part of which can be glued or screwed). Generally speaking, the front protective cover can also be fastened using only two adhesive LOXX press-studs. (For a description of LOXX see catalogue page 49) (one pack contains two pieces)

The new WINTERTIME range for HINDERMANN PROTECTIVE COVERS and HINDERMANN ROOF COVERS is made from a breathable 3-layer SFS-3 NONWOVEN material, and stands out due to a good tensile strength and low weight.

For a good fit for your vehicle type, you can choose from 4 basic shapes, which universally fit various vehicle models. In addition, rectangular roof protection covers are available.

For camper vans alone, there are 3 basic shapes which are suitable for the various contours, construction widths and construction heights of integrated, compact integrated, partially integrated and alcove vehicles.

Each protective cover has 4 zips which (when open) facilitate covering and removal, and enable access to the entrance door and/or storage boxes on both sides of the vehicle. All protective covers have an eyelet strip and tensioning straps on the front and rear side. The roof protection covers have triangular straps all around for tensioning. The tensioning material is included in the standard scope of delivery, as well as a generously sized storage bag and repair set.

for bicycle racksThe new CONCEPT 2 is an around closed cover, where the bicy-cle rack can be stored safely together with the bicycles; as you can see from the photo. On the back wall there are three zips at different heights, for the retaining brackets, through which the brackets are guided. In this way, a tight adjustment to various racks is possible. In addition, the cover can be secured from the outside using various clamping straps. With large clear pocket for warning sign.Installation is easy: first of all the zip is opened, the multi-way zips on the rear side are only opened in the area of the bracket. Protect your roof hood against heat loss, hail damage and ageing due to UV rays.The thermo insulation of this special cover consists of an approx. 4mm fully porous, foamed PVC foam, and a 18mm thick, heat insulating polyester wadding. Apart from the insulating characteristic, it also insulates against a rain shower noise.The inside surface which comes into contact with the window glass, consists of the particularly gentle and soft Tyvek material. The outer surface consists of a grey artificial leather. The cover can be attached by pulling it over; on the lower edge of the cover there is an elastic strap all around, which ensures a firm hold, together with the Velcro loops in the 4 corners (before installation, the roof window should be cleaned). The forced venting remains unimpeded for safety reasons.

for Camper VansProtects seats in the living area from draughts and you from getting cold feet. The wind break is made from winter-proof tarpaulin material in our “bi-colour” quality (this means that you can decide on the spot whether you want to mount the light grey or middle grey as the visible surface) and it is fastened with LOXX press studs, which are supplied in ample quantity with the delivery. You can either mount them with screw-in or adhesivebottom plates. Mark the fastening points on the vehicle,stick on the bottom plates (make sure to keep a horizontalposition), hold the wind break against it and mark thepress-stud points exactly on the rear of the plate. Pierce holesusing punch pliers in the points, attach the LOXX press studs into the wind break and attach to the vehicle. Cut off any pro-truding part with scissors. At the door entrance area, the skirt can be cut out with scissors. Cut the edges round, to preventthem from tearing.

Raise the floor skirts in the door entrance area and pull the short textile weatherstrip piece towards the front of the Velcro side. Fix both parts to-gether (photo shows the prin-ciple of the Velcro fastening for continuous pulling).

Cut vertically to the left and right of the door entrance with a sturdy pair of scissors down to the lower welt, then cut across.If possible, cut aroand both corners.

An ideal aid for any cara-vanner: Additional stowage space for times when the fold-down bed is not in use. Useful for, e.g. winter / summer / summer clothing, blankets, laundry, magazines or other small bits and pieces.

After removing the fold-down bed mattress the organiser box is placed on the slatted frame or the plastic spring elements and can be equipped to own specification. The free area surrounding it can also be used to store jackets or covers, for example. Note: The fold-down bed can be folded up with the mounted organiser box too.

This universal organiser box is constructed from very robust plastic. It is easy to handle and a 3 cm-wide surrounding edge makes it easier to carry. Eight special Velcro straps (included as standard) make attaching it to the slatted frame or the plastic spring elements easy; see photos. For this there are eight slots all-around the box through which the included straps can be guided. The height of the box is slightly less than the height of the removed mattress.
