– Technical Session: New Hitachi' Replication Manager software enables

customers to centrally manage their in-system or remote business continuity products, for both mainframe and open environments. Hitachi

Replication Manager simplifies replication operations, configurations,

task management and automation. This uniquely integrated solution

allows customers to closely monitor their critical storage components and

allow better management of Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) objectives.

– Hitachi Replication Manager will fully support the management of mainframe

pairs similarly to the open systems pairs for Storage Setup, Pair

Configuration, Change Pair Status and Scheduling and leverage Hitachi Business Continuity Manager.

• Features– Associate pairs to copy types and group names within a simple GUI wizard

- Enable Reserve/Release of pair associations plus the Saving/Resuming of workflows

- Enable different departmental users to utilize a seamless pair management process

- Track delta time between sites; export capability for historical analysis

- Schedule configuration changes and the synchronization of pairs either immediately or at a future date/time

- Configuration/Pair Status Management via Business Continuity Manager
