Journey ThroughDay 1 and 2 - USA to the Holy Land

Your spiritual pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on an interna-tional flight. You will be welcomed to the Holy Land by our airport rep-resentative and transferred to your Bethlehem hotel for dinner andovernight.

Day 3 - Jericho, Qumran, and Masada

Visit the Baptismal Site at Kasr el Yehud, thetraditional site of the baptism of Jesus by Johnthe Baptist. Jericho is the oldest known inhab-ited city in the world. Visit the ruins of the ancientcity, which was conquered by Joshua (Josh. 6:1,2,20) and see parts of the ancient city wallswhich have been uncovered. From Jericho youcan see the traditional site of the Temptationof Jesus (Matt.4: 1-11) and the Judean wilder-

ness. Travel to Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to dis-cuss the mysterious community of Essenes who once lived on theshores of the Dead Sea. Visit Masada, Herod’s mountaintop fortresswhich became the last stronghold of the Jewish Rebellion against theRomans. Ride the cable car to the top to explore. Peer down upon theremains of the Roman camps and siege ramp below. Time permitting,you’ll stop briefly at the Shores of the Dead Sea for a quick dip in thesalt and mineral laden waters.

Day 4 - Herodion and Bethlehem

Begin your touring by visiting missions sites andby viewing the Herodion, the fortified palaceand final resting place of Herod the Great. InBethlehem visit the cave where Jesus was bornand the church which has been constructed onthe site (Matthew 1: 18-25; Luke 2: 1-7). Nearby,visit the Shepherds’ Field where the GoodNews was first heard. Overnight in Bethlehem.

Day 5 - Jacob's Well, Samaria, Nazareth, Cana

Today visit modern day Nablus (ancientShechem) and see Jacob's well where Christ en-countered the Samaritan woman (John 4). SeeMt. Ebal and Mt. Gerizim where the Israelitesrecited the blessings and curses of the Law.Continue to Samaria, the capital of the NorthernKingdom, and home to Ahab and Jezebel. Con-tinue past Tel Dothan, thought to be the placewhere Joseph found his brothers with their flocks

(Genesis 37). Visit Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Matthew 2: 23)and Cana, the site of Christ's first miracle.

Day 6 - The Galilee

Travel to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ min-istry in the Galilee. Visit the synagogue whichstands on the site where Jesus taught. Recallhis teaching and preaching the gospel of thekingdom (Matt.4:13). Travel to the Mt. of Beati-tudes where Jesus preached to the people(Matt. 5-7). Cross the waters of the Sea ofGalilee aboard a Kinnereth Sailing Company boat. Along the way, par-ticipate in a special on board worship service. At Tabgha, the tradi-tional location for the calling of the disciples and the feeding of the5000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9:10-17). You’ll also visit the Chapel of the Primacy where three timesPeter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21).

Day 7 - Megiddo, Mt. Carmel, and Caesarea

Travel the ancient caravan route through theJezreel Valley to Tel Megiddo where 20 differentcities lie superimposed upon each other. AscendMt. Carmel where Elijah defeated the prophetsof Baal and overlook modern day Haifa (I Kings18). Visit the Roman Aqueduct and Theatre atCaesarea, a center of the early Christians. Here,Cornelius became the first Gentile convert to thenew religion (Acts 10) and Paul was imprisoned

before being taken to Rome for Trial.

Day 8 - Jerusalem

Stand atop the Mount of Olives as Jesus didand enjoy a remarkable view of the "GoldenCity" of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mountand Dome of the Rock. Forty days after His res-urrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from theMount of Olives (Acts 1: 9-12). Walk to the Gar-den of Gethsemane and pray there as Jesusprayed (Matt.26:36-44). Stroll down the KidronValley to the Gihon Spring, the ancient watersource of the city of Jerusalem and see the entrance to Hezekiah’sTunnel. On Mount Zion you will view the site of King David’s Tomb.Stand in the Upper Room, revered as the site of the Last Supper(Mark 14: 12-26).

Day 9 Jerusalem

This morning enjoy a walking tour of the OldCity of Jerusalem, and walk the Cardo, the an-cient main street of the Old City once lined withshops and now partially restored. Visit theDavidson Center and the Southern Wall Ex-cavations including the Teaching Steps, theWestern Wall. View the Pool of Bethesda(John 5: 1-31) where Jesus performed the Sab-bath miracle. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress

where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23: 1-11). Walkthe Via Dolorosa, "the Way of the Cross", and stand in reverence atthe Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Garden Tomb, possiblesite of the garden of Joseph of Arimathea and experience the realityof the Resurrection.

Day 10 Free Day

Explore Jerusalem on your own or enjoy a dayof rest and reflection.

Day 11 Nebi Samuel, Emmaus, Valley of Elah

Enjoy a free morning in Jerusalem. This after-noon, visit Nebi Samuel, thought to be the burialplace of the prophet Samuel and for a final viewof Jerusalem. Travel to Emmaus where Jesus,after His resurrection, was invited to visit withtwo of his disciples who did not recognize Himuntil He blessed and broke bread with them(Luke 24:13-17, 28-31). After dinner, continue tothe airport for your return flight to the USA.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Price is based on double occupancy. When available, single rooms are often smaller than doubles.While EOT will try to match roommates, EOT cannot guarantee a roommate will be avail-able. Roommates may be assigned as late as 35 days prior to departure and, if one is not availableor you request a single room, the following charges apply: $598 during the basic week; $298 forCairo; $398 for Luxor; $448 for Nile Cruise; $198 for Jordan.

AIRLINE ROUTES and TICKETS:In order to keep prices low, EOT does not guarantee the most direct routing to your final destination. Once “printed”, airline tickets cannot be changed or refunded thereafter. Air transportation to/from your destination will be economy class on IATA and ARC carriers utilizing APEX or SUPER APEXnon-refundable, non-amendable tickets for groups of 10 or more flying together on entire itinerary.

FLIGHT TIMES:All flight times are subject to change by the airlines without advance notice. EOT is not responsible for such changes or delays and does not reimburse expenses resulting fromsuch delays. If making own flight arrangements to departure city, we recommend you purchase aticket which can be changed without large penalties.

ITINERARY CHANGES:Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this brochure. While you will see all sites listedin this brochure, the order of sites and/or days and number of days may be altered to accommodatechanges in airline, hotel schedules, and local conditions. Due to airline schedules, some participantsmay receive one or two extra leisure days at a nominal per day charge and some extensions may notbe available on all departure dates. If itinerary changes necessitate extra overnights, you will be charged$100 per night; single rooms $180 per night. Meals for extra nights are not included.

CANCELLATION FEES: 100% of Cancellation Fees are covered by the optional Travel Protection Program provided premium has been paid and reason for cancellation is insurable. Those who do not taketravel protection should be aware of the following cancellation penalties: From day of reg-istration to 105 days prior to departure, you will be charged the $100 non-refundable admin-istrative fee plus any airline fees. Additionally, thereafter, you will be charged any airlinepenalties and a single room supplement if your cancellation forces your roommate into asingle plus the following charges: 104-60 days = $400; 59-45 days = $600; 44-31 days = 40%of total cost; 30 days to day of departure = 100% of total cost. In addition, cancellation feesfor Luxor and Nile Cruise are: 59-31 days = 25% of extension cost; 30-0 days = 100%. Submitcancellation in writing. On or after day of departure, no refund for any services not used.

FIT TO TRAVEL STATEMENT:Passengers registering for the tour accept the responsibility for being in good health andable to walk and travel on the tour.
