Great that you give us the opportunity to introduce our company and our product portfolio. A short insight, more can and will this brochure not provide because the personal contact can´t be replaced with nothing.

The VISAM GmbH, based in Neuwied, was founded at the beginning of the year 2000 by outsourcing the business units process control, process visualization and PC automation technology from the ABRESCH + MAERKL & Co. Automationstechnik GmbH.

The majority of our employees already worked prior to the spin-off in their respective departments, where products and solutions for the industrial automation are developed since 1985.

With a wealth of experience from more than 25 years in the market of industrial automation VISAM is now a fixed size, when it comes to industrial and building au-tomation.

Since ever, VISAM GmbH develops high-performance and innovative solutions for process visualization and control technology. The HMI & SCADA System „VBASE“ as the flagship of our company is continually evolving and setting standards. However VISAM is not only providing an excellent soft-ware, but with the VISAM Touch Panel „VTP“ also a good hardware platform, that ensures a continuous system from the control level to the HMI.

Tailor-made industrial IT.

The different requirements and environmental profi-les of an industrial application require an individually tailored hardware. Therefore, after the requirement analysis and system decision any industrial computer is assembled in our in-house system integration and sub-sequently tested in our 24h burn-in test, and all under compliance with the highest safety criteria.

If ever something go wrong, your equipment will be tested by our engineers in our workshop. This is the gu-arantee for short downtimes, fast hardware repair and warranty support.

The devices of the VISAM touch panel series (VTP) are extremely compact, yet powerful operator panels for machine and plant construction, as well as for applications in the building automa-tion.

All VTP‘s are available with a high-quality color TFT with inte-grated touch screen. The display size is scalable from 3.5 to 21

inches depending on the device class. The operator panels defy the extreme conditions in an industrial environment with a front-side IP65 protection against water and dust. The mecha-nical structure without air vents and moving parts makes the devices very reliable and require only little maintenance. These properties make them also ideal for use under severe vibration and bumping.

The VBASE Editor is used for the configuration and parameteri-zation of the touch panels. Due to the consistent use you have full access to the HMI and SCADA world with the VBASE Editor.

The functionality of the operating units vary according to the HMI runtime: Systems with Windows CE have a slightly limited functionality, due to the hardware specifications. On the other

hand, devices with Windows XP / 7 offer the complete functio-nality of the desktop runtime VBASE Pro RT. The license for the HMI runtime environment is embedded with the device, the configuration software and operating system is included for free with all VISAM Touch Panels.

VBASE - what is it an where can it be used?

VBASE brings life to your HMI device!

VBASE HMI / SCADA is an industry-neutral and highly flexible process visualization and control system. The application possibi-lities of VBASE are almost unlimited. VBASE is at home wherever processes are visualized, data is recorded and control commands must be exchanged with remote systems. In industrial automati-on as well as in the professional building automation. From au-tomotive, to construction materials, to the pharmaceutical and chemical industry - VBASE is not set to a single industry.

VBASE Editor. Consistent development environ-ment for HMI and SCADA projects.

With the VBASE Editor you get a unified and integrated develop-ment environment that will support you in the preparation of the visualization and control for complex systems, as well as for simple HMI tasks with the VISAM Touch Panel series (VTP). The VBASE Editor offers an easy entry for beginners and is equipped with all the functions for the visualization and control of your processes.

VBASE includes a modern web interface, which provides a uni-versal human-machine interface based on HTML5. The VBASE Web-Remote allows the display and control of the automation project with smartphones, tablets, and any device with a mo-dern browser. The necessary HTML pages are generated auto-matically by VBASE and can be enabled on a project basis.

VTP-BC – Panelmount opertor panelswith widescreen display, Windows CE and VBASE Kompakt-RT

The new design line of the VTP-BC series brings not only visual changes, but also practical innovations, such as the flat recessed front panel with certified IP66 protection class and status LED. The 7" or 10" display in widescreen format offers additional space for visualization and is very economical in energy con-sumption with its LED backlight.

The operating units are designed for harsh conditions in indus-trial environments. They work completely fanless, are free of moving parts and can be used under strong vibrations (max. 1 Grms) and shocks. The wide temperature range of -20 to 60° Celsius openes additional fields for the HMI devices, such as out-door applications.

The integrated ARM Cortex A8 processor is extremely energy-conscious without sacrificing performance for the HMI. The po-wer consumption for the entire system is only 9W . The terminals for power supply and serial ports are isolated from each other and are not affected by electronic interference. In addition, the devices are protected against voltage surges and inrush.

With the modular housing concept of the VTP-UC series the pa-nels are enabled for a variety of installation options, like opera-ting tables, in-wall mounting or custom housing.

The specification of the hardware and software complies with the IC models, but the front panel has been removed for the open-frame design. The display with touchscreen and mother-board are mounted on a support frame made of stainless steel and is enclosed with a steel housing on the backside. It is possib-le to install the panel with only four screws into its own housing or directly into the desired machine.

As a solution for in-wall installation VISAM also offers a flush box and various decorative front panels. The front panels are made from high quality stainless steel, aluminum or acrylic glass and are available in different colors.

The VTP-IC series is equipped with a robust front panel and housing concept that brings many benefits for the panelmount. The front bezel of the 5.7" and 7" models are mounted onto a carrier plate made of anodized aluminum. A hard-coated and scratch-resistant polyester foil was stuck on the carrier plate without gaps. The front side is protected against the ingress of water and dust conform to IP65 industry standard.

The compact panels with a very small installation depth can be integrated into virtually any application. The heart of the IC57 and IC70 is a powerful yet economical and fanless ARM11 pro-cessor. Due to the low power consumption of the system (8 W) it is possible to use Power over Ethernet for power supply and data transmission. The high-resolution displays are equipped with an LED backlight and a resistive touch screen for use in in-dustrial environment.

The original VTP series with classic design but with modern hard-ware equipment. With its compact design, the devices are ideally suited for direct installation into the machine or target system. The devices have proven their capabilities in industrial usage and are very robust and durable. The front panel is IP65 certified and indestructible with the front plate made of an aluminum-magne-sium alloy. All systems are fanless, free of moving parts and can be used as maintenance-free.

The display size is fully scalable from 3.5 to 17 inches and covers the entire spectrum for HMI applications . The large range of in-

terfaces underscores the very flexible application of VTP -TC and TX. Via Ethernet or fieldbus they can be coupled directly to the target system and get direct access to the system control.

The operating units are shipped with Windows CE and VBASE Kompakt-RT (VTP-TC) or Windows XP Embedded and VBASE Pro- RT (VTP-TX). Equipped with the Pro runtime, the TX models form the complete functionality of the desktop runtime onto a com-pact HMI device. In addition, standard Windows applications can be installed on the device and data can be exchanged between the HMI and the application.

VTP-AX is the first VISAM Touch Panel series, which is aimed spe-cifically at the needs of the building automation. The AX devices convince with an elegant and simple design that can be integra-ted into almost any interior.

The devices are framed with an aluminium border and have an installation depth of only 40mm. With the included wall mount bracket the device can be mounted to the wall at a short dis-tance. As an optional accessory stand feet and a flush box for in-wall mounting are available. For all installation options a hori-zontal or vertical alignment is possible.

The high resolution and brilliant widescreen display is available in two sizes: 15 or 21 inches. There is also the possibility between resistive and capacitive touch screen with multi-touch support. The touch panel is equipped with a quick, yet saving Intel Atom processor with 2 CPU cores and a fast SSD drive for the system data. In addition, the units can be expanded with optional ac-cessory modules and adapted to the own requirements .

Like all VISAM Touch Panels, the VTP-AX units come with a com-plete software package. This includes the operating system Windows 7 or 8, the runtime environment VBASE Pro-RT and the VBASE HMI/SCADA Editor for creating the building control. Es-pecially for the building automation VBASE is compatible with the major bus systems KNX, Modbus, M-Bus and provides the necessary functionality for the scenario control, alarm, access control and logging.

The VISAM VGATE is an all-rounder in the communication bet-ween different systems and interfaces. The VGATE takes on the role of a gateway between remote systems from different ma-nufacturers (Siemens, Wago, Mitsubishi, etc.), different physical interfaces and communication protocols.

VGATE has 3 operation modes:

1. Data Gateway: VGATE actively communica-tes the process data from up to five systems with different interfaces or protocols. Chan-ges in existing systems are not necessary!

2. Data Collector: VGATE process and reads the data from the connected systems and stores them cyclically or event-driven to a disk.

3. Data Server: VGATE provides the process data of the connected devices for higher-level systems, such as Visualization, MES or order tracking

The new Touch Panel PC with 18" or 21" display has been com-pletely redesigned for a more efficient operation of machinery and equipment, as well as for increasing the productivity. For their appearance and their intuitive operation, the TPCs have been rewarded with the iF Award.

The high-resolution widescreen display with multi-touch sup-port offers completely new possibilities for the machine operati-on (e.g. 2-hand operation) and reduces operator errors.

The Panel PCs have a fanless AMD dual-core processor with current onboard gra-phics, 4GB of RAM available and can, among other things, be operated with Windows 8, including multi-touch sup-port.

The super-ruggedized SPC is in terms of „hardware“ almost iden-tical with the TPC. However, he is protected by his closed case from all sides to IP65. It is perfect for the suspension directly on the machine or plant, using a VESA connector. Similarly, the pa-nel computer can be used as a stand-alone solution in a variety of applications.

All rear connectors are designed as waterproof M12 screw. We do also supply the pre-assembled cables on your demand.

The consistent, scratch-re-sistant surface (7H) is easy to clean and prevents accidental interference from tools and other objects.

The IPPC-series focuses on a proven design that has already de-monstrated its reliability in harsh industrial environments. With the extremely rugged aluminum front panel and a reinforced glass plate, these Industrial Panel PCs withstand even the most extreme environmental conditions. The front panel is IP65 com-pliant and with its water, dust and oil-resistant surface almost indestructible.

The chassis of the 15" / 17" industrial displays or rather panel PCs consists of high quality 316L stainless steel. The device is 6-sided certified to the highest protection class IP69K and can be clea-ned with high pressure up to 80 bar.The connecting cables are led out at the bottom of the computer by watertight pressure fittings made of stainless steel. All materi-als used are food-safe and resistant to sharp and caustic cleaning agents.

Panel PCs of the THETIS series are suitable for installation in an operator console. The front side is made of 316L stainless steel and is protected with IP65 standard against the ingress of water and dust. They are available in display sizes of 15, 17 and 19 in-ches and can be configured with different processors, RAM and disk drives.

Easy cleaning due to a resistant and smooth surface of 316L stainless steel, as well as minimized gaps and grooves.

The protection class IP69K and the completely sealed housing enable the cleaning with high pressure (max. 80 bar).

The purification using very sharp and caustic cleaning agents is possible.

Embedded Box PCsThe Box PCs of UNO series are specifically designed for automati-on applications, which require absolute reliability.

The technical structure of the UNO-Box PCs dispenses entirely on internal cabling and rotating components. Thus, the UNOs can also be used at strong vibrations. Moreover, the maintenance is reduced to a minimum and improves the system availability.

The aluminum chassis of the Box PCs offers excellent thermal properties and enables a fanless operation even at high ambient temperatures and strong processors.

The UNO-1100 series is designed for mounting onto the DIN-rail respectively directly into the machine. Therefor, a mounting kit for wallmount or DIN-rail mount. Front panel connectors ensure easy installation. The computers have a battery-powered backup

The UNO-3000 box pc series represents the premium level in terms of performance and expandability. The devices are desig-ned for wall mounting and easy to install with the front I/O.

They have a redundant power supply, LED status indicators, as well as a generous range of interfaces. In addition, the compu-ters can be expanded with 2 or 4 PCI (e) cards. Furthermore the user has the choice between a SATA hard drive and a vibration-resistant CompactFlash card as a mass storage device.

The fanless wallmountable computers of the UNO-2100 series offer a very high performance at a relatively compact size. The compactly designed devices are, on the strength of their solid metal housing, optimally prepared for harsh industrial use and fully protected according to the IP30 industrial standard. With the supplied mounting kit, the switches can be mounted on the wall or on the DIN-rail.All EKI‘s have a redundant power supply available, as well as the protection against overvoltage and polarity reversal. Thereby the energy supply (EFT) is secured up to 3,000 VDC and the net-work connections (ESD) up to 4,000 VDC.

The new switches of EKI-3000 series impress with priority ports, an intelligent diagnostics, gigabit data transmission and up to 50% less power consumption, making them ideal for a variety of industrial automation applications, including video surveillance systems.All switches have 1 or 2 „VIP“ ports available, which handle data, according to the Quality of Service (QoS) protocol IEEE 802.1q, prioritized. Thus data (e.g. when video streaming) are safe to the recipient even at high network load.

The Gateways of the EKI-1300 series connect all devices with se-rial RS-232/422/485 ports to a wireless networks. For this purpo-se they use wireless LAN in Ad-Hoc or equipment mode and so connect serial devices to the local network.Via mobile networks (GPRS, 3G/UMTS) devices are connected over long distances to the remote computer. Due to redundant SIM cards and a data buffer (SD card) an increased reliability is ensured for the data communication.
