PARISH MALVERN MENS RETREAT WEEKEND IS April 28, 29 & 30, 2017
“MEETING JESUS: ONE IS NEVER THE SAME” In today’s world of 24/7 sound
bites, non-stop commercials, loud music and the like, it can be difficult to hear the re-
ally important voices in our life. Sometimes we just need a quiet, safe place where we
can listen to our God who knows us, loves us and wants to tell us what is best for us.
The Malvern Retreat House is such a place. Join the men of the parish the weekend
of April 28, 29, & 30, 2017 for their Malvern retreat. To learn more, call Frank
Strawser at 302-593-2362 or email [email protected]. For information on retreats for men women, mar-
ried couples and families visit our website at malvernretreat.com or call 610-644-0400.
Please pray for the soul of
Anne R. Meginniss
May her soul and all of the souls of the
faithful departed rest in peace.

The gospel reading on Palm Sunday reveals the many
trials and tribulation that Christ underwent for our
salvation. Before all this takes place however, Jesus
rides into Jerusalem and is glorified for the king that
He truly is. Palms were laid down on the road as
people sang his praises and glorified Him. Shortly
afterwards, however this crowd quickly turned on
Christ and the same individuals who praised him
were now ridiculing him. How often does this happen
in our own life? We may find it easy to sing the Lords
praises when times are good or when we are in the
presence of others who believe, but in tough times or
when surrounded by those who ridicule us, do we
stand strong? Certainly this is not easy, even Peter
himself faltered denying Christ three times, but with
God’s assistance we can endure. Take a moment each
day this week to thank God for His sacrifice and ask
Him, that in moments of difficulty and persecution
that He provide strength to persevere.
