SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Steubenville Conference for Young Adults 18-25 Years Old

18:23

18:23 is a journey into a deeper relationship and faith with the Lord geared for young adults 18 to 23-ish. This Young Adult conference is held in a separate venue within All for God’s Steubenville San Diego youth conference at the beautiful University of San Diego campus. In Acts 18:23, we read that Paul traveled the world with the purpose of “bringing strength to all the disciples,” and that’s the purpose of 18:23: to bring strength to all young adults! So come and see, meet young adults from all over the US including California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. Grow and be strengthened in your faith in Jesus Christ. Pope Francis is challenging us to walk in the light of the Lord, to build up the Church, and to profess Jesus Christ. We’ve got fabulous speakers, an amazing worship band, and a venue just for young adults ages 18 to 23-ish. Come by yourself, with a group of friends, or travel with your parish youth or young adult group. However you get to San Diego, we want you here! 18:23 All for God Young Adult Conference is about building and strengthening the community of young adults! What is God calling you to do? What is God calling your generation to do? What is God calling you to collectively, as a community of young believers. Come and see! See Martha Perry in the Youth Ministry office to register. If you’re willing to take part in the fundraising, your only cost will be the $25 pre-registration fee. For more info, email [email protected]

STEPHEN MINISTRY Stephen Ministry Provides Help to Men as Well as Women

Stephen Ministry has over 40 trained ministers to be there for

men & women in need of someone to talk to. Going into the new year, there are mes where added burdens are placed on many of us; some mes things get so tough that it seems hope-less. Unfortunately men are less likely to seek help, we would

urge you to do so. Stephen Ministry offers a person to meet with you to share your

burdens. The purpose is for men as well as women to unload their problems to a caring minister. He or she will pray with you

& offer the message of God’s hope. A number of years ago, I met with a young man who had a

problem with anger. Over the course of mee ngs that lasted over a year, his anger was replaced by hope & love. The Stephen Minister is not a problem solver. Our purpose is to bring God’s love to the person in need & to assure him or her they are not

alone. God has not forgo en them. Stephen Ministers are here to provide you a person to share

your worries with, to provide you with support & to remind you of God’s love. If you feel that you could use someone to talk to, give Hazel a call at 299-3279 or Paul at 706-1677, or you can call

the Parish Office. Thank you, Hazel Bondy
