FEBRUARY 3, 2019

From today’s Gospel reading: "The word of the Lord came to me...”

Reflection: Like Jeremiah, our vocation is first to listen to God’s word. It not only speaks to us when we gather at worship. God also speaks to us through the Scriptures, during times of personal prayer, in the events of our lives and through the world of nature.

So, we ask ourselves: - What is God calling you to do, or speak, during these listening times? - How shall you respond? (Draw courage from what Jeremiah says to us today: God will be with us as our strength and ally).

WITH OUR HEARTFELT GRATITUDE

During our time of difficulty and sadness, we experienced the wonderful support from many in our parish family. Losing Elsie, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, has been a big hole to fill. We are blessed to have the support, the numerous cards of sympathy and the generous donations from so many of you, too many to mention by name. Know that we are forever grateful and will continue to keep all of you in our prayers. God Bless!

Sincerely, Jerry & the Alameda Family

HOLY TRINITY PRAYER CORNER Dear Father God,

Thank You for Your unfailing love for me, Your blessings, & goodness. Thank You for Your

faithfulness to guide me & see me through times of uncertainty, for lifting me up,

& setting me on high. Thank You for Scripture that comforts and reminds me of Your promises, plan & provision. Thank you for taking away

my fears & worries, the what-ifs & reminding me that my help comes from You. Help me be a

good steward and to sow wisely. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
