StrongwindParasols

IntroductionTraditional, central-mast parasols have, for many years, been the most popular choice for outdoor shade and shelter. Our Strongwind Parasols, with their increased strength and durability, make them perfect for the commercial market.

The superior wind resistance of Breezefree’s Strongwind Parasols make them a perfect solution for exposed locations. Tested in Mercedes-Benz’s wind tunnel, Strongwind Parasols have withstood winds of up to 60mph.

Strongwind Parasols are telescopic and crank lever operated. Their strength comes from a significantly larger mastdiameter and wall thickness, as well as wider parasol arms. Strongwind Parasols are available with optional heaters, lights, side panels, gutters and branding

STRONGWIND


MechanicsThe telescopic design of our Strongwind Parasols, with cranked lever operation, is exceptionally strong. The cranking handle is removable and the solid construction ensures high wind stability and durability.

The telescopic system is designed with a special spindle lift, so even the largest parasol folds up above the tables without disturbing their contents, or the guests sitting around the table; a very important feature in the catering trade. Even the largest parasols are easily operated.

DriveThe drive crank handle locks the spindles automatically in every opening/closing position, to prevent accidental opening or closing of the parasol.

SpuncrylicFabric CoversSpuncrylic® is polyester that has gone through solution dying, giving it very high resistance to fading from sunlight. Spuncrylic® has good stain resistance and water repellence. In addition it has a UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) of at least 50.

OlefinFabric CoversOlefin provided a good texture and cover while being a light material. It is made from poly-propylene and uses a solution-dyed process. The material has a low moisture absorption and will dry quickly.

Olefin is abrasion, stain, sunlight, mildew and chemical resistant and holds its color well.

BAMBUSA


PolyesterFabric CoversPolyester is a strong fiber that is resistant to creasing and keeps its shape well. The price is quite low in comparison to other umbrella cover materials with the only drawback being the color fastness of the darker materials. Our polyester is treated with a water repellent, which helps it keep clean and reduces mildew.

GuttersGutters are conically manufactured, and when attached to the parasol they provide a slight decline to ensure good drainage. Threaded aluminium pipes are inserted into the material sleeves and connected together to further improve drainage. The gutter is attached to the roof support by snap hooks.

Gutters can connect several parasols into one unit or can connect a parasol to a building.

Ground SocketsFor permanent installation, an in-ground sleeve is installed into a concrete foundation. The upper sleeve is then secured to the exposed in-ground sleeve plate. The parasol mast is inserted and secured twice - by a clamp screw and counter screws. This prevents the mast from wobbling.

PedestalBasesWhen ground sockets are not an option, StormForce parasols can be installed using pedestal bases. The base consists of an upper sleeve and galvanised steel frame, into which 500 x 500mm concrete slabs are placed to counter-balance the parasol.

The pedestal base has adjustable feet on all four corners to compensate for uneven ground.

Side SheetsSide Sheets increase the practical use of a parasol by further protecting customers from the elements. Side sheets are available with or without window sections, made from marine-grade PVC, and doors can also be cut into the fabric. Side Sheets can also be used to partition several parasols into smaller areas.
