Home Remodeling Budgets - San Diego Home Improvement When you start interviewing contractors for your home remodel you may be asked for a budget. Of course it is up to you if you provide it. You should be more afraid of contractors that do not ask for a budget goal. I am not hesitant to ask for a range from low to high, and typically it is my experience that homeowner's budgets are realistic. As a design and remodeling contractor for over 30 years, I would prefer to have a budget target. I see it as a win, win for both parties. I realize as a consumer you may be afraid that the contractor will try to maximize your spending. As a contractor, I explain to my clients that giving me a budget will help you get the most value for your spending. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Home-Improvement-/159907/i.html I would also caution that choosing a contractor based on budget is a recipe for trouble.
