THE OFFICIAL PUBLICATION OF THE HOMETOWN KYLE HOATHE OFFICIAL PUBLICATION OF THE HOMETOWN KYLE HOA

Is any portion of the fence around your property community owned? The fences that run along some streets and community areas, such as walkways, retention ponds, playgrounds and basketball courts, are owned and maintained by the HOA.

If you have HOA owned fencing around your property, please take care to prearrange any modifications and removals with the HOA and Goodwin Management. Repair work needed due to homeowner actions (window cutouts, gates, temporary removal of panels, etc.) will be billed back to the homeowner.

Also, vegetation growing along the fence negatively impacts its longevity, so please limit such landscaping to personal property (home, personal fence line, lattice work, etc.). In the process of landscape maintenance, vegetation growing through or on the community fences may be cut down.

The above guidelines will allow us to work together and avoid additional costs to everyone.

If you have questions regarding the ownership of any portion of fence along your property, feel free to contact Marilyn Childress at Goodwin Management by calling 512-502-7509 or emailing [email protected].

One of our neighbors, Jesse Saavedra would like to start a bicycle riding group. This will be open to everyone to promote and enjoy a social bicycle ride. His first suggestion is “no-drop” rides of 20 miles into San Marcos and back beginning from Wallace Middle School. He is proposing Wednesday evenings beginning 6:00-6:30.

If you are interested, meet at Wallace Middle School between 6:00-6:30 and have you and your bicycle equipped for night riding.

You may contact Jesse to participate or with other suggestions.

Paper or plastic?

We really don’t have a preference, just make sure you carry a bag anytime you’re out walking your best friend. Hometown Kyle has many four legged friends in all shapes and sizes but they all have one thing in common....they like to “go” in the great outdoors. Please be sure to pick up after your pets.

Sharing with neighborsI love walking around our neighborhood and admiring

neighbor’s yards and greeting the joggers, the dog walkers and the parents with their baby carriages. I enjoy the aroma of that fancy fabric softener when someone’s dryer is going full blast, and once in awhile I get treated to an amazing smell from a neighbor’s kitchen or grill.

That, my friends, is what I’m after. I’m no snoop but I want to know what’s going on in that kitchen of yours...so pleeease, share that recipe.

If you have a favorite recipe, please share it with us so we can all get a taste of that awesome stew, casserole, grill fare, pie, cake or whatever it is that slows me down when I walk by your house.

SOMETHiNG’S bREWiNG iN THE NEiGHbORHOOd…

Please share your favorite drink recipe so we can post it on the website. Let’s be creative and come up with a Hometown Kyle signature drink and a cool name to go with it.

Solicitor ActivityThe City of Kyle requires every solicitor to have a permit for

solicitation from the City carried on their person while soliciting. Law enforcement officials ask us to be aware of any suspicious or solicitor activity and report it immediately to local police by calling 512-268-3232.

When you encounter a solicitor, let the police know there is someone soliciting in this subdivision. Provide an address of where you see the solicitor, as well as a physical description. Ask the police to verify their permit or clear them from the subdivision.

Contact Kyle police immediately to report solicitors or suspicious activity. Take proper measures to secure your home.

Do not leave valuables in your vehicles, including papers with financial and/or identity data.
