H omewood H appenings A pril 2, 2017 Homewood will be hosting this special service that will reflect on Jesus’ statements while He was suffering on the cross. Joining Homewood will be sister churches: First Free, Geneseo, Osco, Aledo, Erie and Daniel Grell, our Area EFCA Superintendent. Communion will be served. Please invite family and friends to join you for this inspirational evening. Nursery available infant-3 yrs. Invite your family, friends & neighbor kids to enjoy a morning focusing on the meaning of Easter. There will be a puppet show called “Count down to Easter” performed by the Silvis Baptist Puppet Team and everyone will make (and can eat) prayer pretzels. Our services will be at our normal times of 8:30 AM & 11:00 AM w/Kids church Our choir will be presenting the cantata “One Sacrifice” All are invited to enjoy an Easter breakfast during the Sunday School hour between the services in the gym (9:45 AM). The Women’s & Children’s Teams are holding a GIRLS ONLY Morning on April 8th 9:00-11:00 AM This fun morning is for ALL GIRLS of ALL AGES so invite your girlfriends and their daughters! The morning will include the story of Queen Esther as well as spa treatments, fashion show, royal treats and crazy fun! Be curious and come. We promise there will be laughter & good times! The Family of Betty Skantz invites Homewood to an Open House in honor of Betty’s 90 th Birthday Sunday, April 23 from 2 to 4 PM in Homewood’s gym. All Church Bowling Night! Bring family and friends. From 5-7 PM at the QC Entertainment Center on John Deere Rd. It includes Pizza, pop and 2 hours of bowling. Cost is $10 per person with a $40 limit per family. Signup starts April 9 Saturday morning April 22 Save the date for this church work day. All skills needed. Sign up for various tasks/ projects at the Welcome Center Thank you donors from Homewood Church. The 15 donation will be used to provide up to 60 products for patients in need.
