2015年10月4日香港小交響樂團於瑞士日內瓦維多利亞音樂廳首演。

分享是人類的美德之一。中國人幼承庭訓：要懂得與人分享，

這既是禮貌，也是促進和諧共處之道。在香港受教育的，大多

都在課堂上讀過四歲小孩孔融的讓梨故事，或者跟我一樣，大

家只記住了「孔融讓梨」這成語，內容倒是記憶模糊。「分享」

也許並非故事的題旨，但我覺得這典故實際是關於「分享」，甚

至有更深層的意義。

說起來，小時候我們跟父母或兄弟姊妹甚麼都分享—不只日常

的家居生活空間與設施，還有飯桌間暢談學校生活和友儕點

滴，純然的分享。當我們長大成人，生活範圍跳出了家庭的空

間，純粹的就變得複雜，單純和自然而然的分享演變成與「慷

慨」、「慈善」相連的善行，甚至與「犧牲」相扣。

身為音樂人，我就決定以最自然和純真的方式分享—就如跟朋

友一起玩音樂，為朋友演奏！

這個樂季的「GOOD MUSIC」包羅萬有，包括由整個樂團傾力

演出的樂曲到小組演奏的室樂精品，而「交響樂之父」海頓的

作品及本土音樂劇《一屋寶貝》，自然是亮點；還有為一家大小

度身設計的節目和為愛尋幽探秘的觀眾而精挑的樂曲，都希望

為觀眾帶來驚喜。音樂會除了在大會堂音樂廳舉行外，大家也

會在別具特色的藝穗會見到我們的足跡。不管您是長期擁躉還

是未曾相識的，我們都希望能與您分享音樂的樂趣。

過去16年，我們一直努力打破樊籬，與不同界別和藝術機構合

作。這個樂季，我們的合作夥伴名單又添新一員，很高興香港

演藝學院與我們合作籌組大師班，讓多位於本樂季亮相的海外

名家，與本地人才直接交流。而踏入第11年的駐團藝術家計

劃，更邀得樂團的「老朋友」陳慶恩出任。這位本地著名作曲

家曾為樂團創作多首樂曲，我們很期待與他更緊密合作，並演

奏他為胡琴與樂團而作的全新作品。這樂季我們也將首次出訪

台灣及葡萄牙馬爾旺國際音樂節；屈指一算，我與樂團這些年

來已一起出訪超過30個城市，每次與海外朋友分享音樂，都叫

我們振奮萬分。

SHARING must be one of the most important humanvirtues. We Chinese are taught young “to share”, as a formof courtesy and a way to harmonious living. Most of us whowent to school in Hong Kong will be taught the story of how4-year-old Kong Rong shared his pears with his brothers (孔融讓梨) but perhaps like me, most will only remember thename of the story and not the details, and although themain moral of the story may not be about “sharing”, thishistorical virtuous act signified much more than what weunderstand now as “sharing”.

In fact, even without this story, when we were young, weshared everything with our parents and siblings – not onlythe physical space and facilities in the household but ourstories at school and about our friends, around the table atdinner. That was the norm, and it was pure. As we enteradulthood and extend our lives beyond the household, thisorganic purity becomes a bit more complicated and thesimple and natural “sharing” evolves and becomes a moresophisticated act of “goodness” associated with“generosity”, “benevolence” or “charity”, sometimes evenwith a bit of “sacrifice” or return.

For me as a musician, I prefer to return to basics andembrace the pure form of “sharing” – just like playing goodmusic with friends, and for friends!

This season’s selected GOOD MUSIC spans from the Musicof the “Father of the Symphony” Joseph Haydn, to ourcontemporary Hong Kong musical The Passage Beyond (《一

屋寶貝》); from Music played by the full force of theorchestra to chamber gems performed by smaller ensembles;Music for families and children, as well as for those lookingfor “specialties” rarely presented in Hong Kong; Musicperformed by overseas artists as well as local talents; Musicinside City Hall Concert Hall and at the Fringe Club; Musicfor our friends who are supportive of what we have beendoing in Hong Kong and for those who do not know us yet.

In the past 16 years, we have continued to break downbarriers and created collaborative networks with artists andwith institutions. This season, The Hong Kong Academy forPerforming Arts joins our collaborative initiative formasterclasses by our visiting artists while in the 11th year ofthe HKS Artist Associate, we are finally able to have onboard our long-time friend, the one and only Chan Hing-yan,who has composed more than a few works for our orchestraover the years. We look forward to his new work with us,this time featuring a solo huqin with orchestra. This seasonwill also see us performing in Taiwan and Portugal (MarvãoFestival) for the first time. It is always exciting to share ourMusic with friends outside of Hong Kong, as we have donein more than 30 cities in the last 15 years.

We have a lot of GOOD MUSIC to share – we hope youwill be in the audience!

「香港小交響樂團邀請我當駐團藝術家，實感榮幸之至！樂團自

創團起，支持本地作曲家一直不遺餘力，長長的委約及首演曲

目就是最好的明證。自美學成回港至今，差不多我的所有管弦

樂作品都是由香港小交響樂團委約、首演及帶到外國去。當中

1998年完成的《月謎》是我創作生涯的重要轉捩點，往後我茅

塞頓開，所謂個人風格亦漸漸成形。2016/2017樂季，為香港

小交響樂團再寫一首以月入題的樂曲：《月魄》，當然別具意

義。同時，我亦期待透過各式各樣的渠道及平台，與樂團及觀

眾交流音樂心得。」陳慶恩

“I am honoured to accept the title of Artist Associate of the HongKong Sinfonietta. The orchestra’s commitment to Hong Kongcomposers is strong, as witnessed in its long list of premières andcommissioned works since its inception. Over the past 18 years,Hong Kong Sinfonietta has commissioned, premiered and touredwith almost all of my orchestral compositions. Among these works,Enigmas of the Moon (1998) marks a watershed in mycompositional style, as it embodies certain stylistic fingerprints thatpersist in my music to this day. For the 2016/2017 season, I amthrilled to contribute another ‘lunar’ composition to the orchestra’srepertoire (Ethereal Is the Moon). And, through a series of eventsthat traverse a broad musical and intellectual landscape, I see myresidency with Hong Kong Sinfonietta as a wonderful opportunityto share my thoughts about music with members of the orchestraand audience.”

陳慶恩為香港土生土長的作曲家，現為香港大學音樂系教授及

系主任。他的創作以糅合中西特色見稱，作品曾於世界各地藝

術節及音樂節演出，包括香港藝術節、愛丁堡藝術節、墨爾本

藝術節、新加坡藝術節、德國、布達佩斯和阿姆斯特丹的音樂

節等。

Currently Professor & Chairperson of the Department of Music at TheUniversity of Hong Kong, composer Chan Hing-yan is no stranger toHong Kong Sinfonietta audience as we have commissioned andperformed his works at home and abroad in Europe, South America,Canada, New York, Beijing and Shanghai. Lauded for their uniqueincorporation of Chinese elements, Chan’s works have been heardaround the world at festivals in Hong Kong, Edinburgh, Singapore,Melbourne, Germany, Budapest and Amsterdam.

票均設有全日制學生、長者（60歲或以

上）、殘疾人士及綜合社會保障援助受惠人

Tickets are typically available 2 months prior tothe concerts. Please refer to the concert detailspages for box office opening dates. There areconcessionary tickets for full-time students,senior citizens (aged 60 or above), people withdisabilities and CSSA recipients for most of theconcerts.
