November 2012

Introduction

In summer 2012, Portland and Tweetminster conducted a unique study into the use of Twitter in the Middle East. Portland has analysed the influencers in the Middle East and produced the most comprehensive map of Twitter connectivity between influencers across the region.

This analysis was complemented by a survey of the top 500 most connected Twitter users. The first of its kind in the region, How the Middle East Tweets provides a unique view of connections between users and countries across the region.
