How to apply for a CSCS cardA CSCS card provides a simple means to certify that you havethe relevant training and qualifications to enable you to carryout your work on a construction site.

Applying for a card is easy. Just follow the steps on the back of this card.

Before you call please check which card you should apply for byvisiting www.cscs.uk.com/cardfinder. If you are not online call0344 9944 777 and we will help you to decide which is the rightcard for you.

Ask for your name, date of birth, National Insurance number, home address and whether you have held a CSCS card before.

Discuss the type of work you carry out, how experienced you are, the training you have received and the qualifications you have achieved or are working towards.

Agree with you which CSCS card you should apply for.

Tell you which Health, Safety & Environment Test you need to pass and how to book it. The test costs 17.50 and you can order revision materials from www.citb.co.uk or by calling 0344 994 4488

Let you know if you need to post or email copies of qualification certificates or other documents.

Ask for details of your credit or debit card to take payment of 30 for your card.

Once you have passed the Health, Safety and Environment test and all the correct documentation has been received, your card will usually be dispatched on the next working day.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CSCS CARDS COST 30 AND THE HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT TEST IS 17.50. THERE ARECOMPANIES THAT PROVIDE UNOFFICIAL CSCS CARD APPLICATION AND TEST BOOKING SERVICES. BEFORE USINGTHESE COMPANIES CHECK WHAT THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AND WHETHER YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THIS COST.
