How to Create Test from EvamView Test Pool

Follow these steps to import an ExamView test pool into Blackboard, then create and deploy a test using the questions from the pool you imported.

Login to your course

1. Login to your course2. Under Control Panel, Course Tools, locate

the Tests, Surveys, and Pools menu link

Create a Question Pool

1. Left click on Pools

Begin Import Process

1. Left click on Import Pool

Select question set

1. Left click Browse to my Computer2. Select the ExamView file to upload

Verify question pool to be uploaded

1. Verify the correct file is attached2. Left click Submit to upload the file to

Blackboard

NOTE: You can upload multiple sets of questions at one time.

Import Complete

1. After the pool has been successfully uploaded, left click on the OK button

Available Pools

You should see a list of available pools, and when they were created.

Build the test using a pool

1. After your pools are uploaded, go back to the main Tests, Survery, and Pools area

2. Left click on Tests

Begin building the test

1. Left click Build Test

Submit test name and info

1. Create a name for the test2. Left click Submit

Add Questions to the test

1. left click the action arrow on Reuse Questions

2. Left click Find Questions3. Left click OK

Remove default settings

1. Under Pools, left clik to uncheck the All Pools button

2. Under Tests, left click to uncheck the All Tests button

This will remove all questions from the window on the right

Begin the Question Selection Process

There should be nothing selected in the Pools or Tests selection area, and there should be no questions showing int he area on the right.

Choose the Pool and Questions to use

1. Left click on Source Name to sort by name2. Left click to place a check in the box to

select all questions3. Verify the total number of questions

selected NOTE: To add questions from another pool, uncheck the pool you are currently viewing, select another pool or test, and repeat steps one through three.

4. When you have selected all the questions to be included in the test, left click Submit to choose the selected questions in the test.

Specify Pool Question Information

1. Verify the number of questions you have chosen from the pool

2. Change any information, such as question type and number of points

Finish creating test

1. When you have made all the changes needed, left click the OK button

Assign the test to the assignment

1. Left click on Assignment

Create the assignment

1. Left click the Create Assignment action link2. Left click Test

Select the Test

1. Left click the test from the drop down box2. Left click Submit

Complete the assignment creation

Complete the assignment information as you would any other assignment. The test, with questions from the test pool, is now in the assignment and ready to be deployed.
