How can you help FreedomNow.org

Due to the sensitive nature of this topic FreedomNow cannot operate as a true wiki in which all members have the right to edit records and have the results displayed immediately.  There are obvious issues with such a methodology.

As such all content provided by members will be reviewed the FreedomNow’s editorial team.  It is our hope that as FreedomNow grows the editorial team will expand to members who have shown a desire to get involved.  If you are interested in being an editor please do contact us.

The ways you can help though are by

• Conducting additional research on the traffickers identified. • Reporting individuals who have been named as traffickers • Reporting general news that we have not put in the news section • Adding Conferences or Volunteer positions • Reporting other sources for banned or licensed labor agents • Reporting any errors on the site

Our editorial team will review all submissions and our goal is to get all approved contributions onto the wiki within 24 hours.

We also would really love to hear from everyone on ways we can improve the site – be it new content to be covered, structure and presentation of the data or anything else.

Conducting additional research on the traffickers identified

Please first join FreedomNow.org

You can chose to have your membership displayed in the directory or not.

Members can report information to FreedomNow’s research team by clicking on the “Report Additional Information” on a subjects page.  Please note that the information must be sourced from the public domain and be verifiable.

If the additional information is from a non‐English language source we would require both the original language source as well as a translation.

Professional researchers may have access to court record databases.  These can often reveal additional identifiers such as dates of birth or address.  If you have such data please contact us and we can arrange for bulk uploads

By completing this simple form and reporting a credible public source of the information the FreedomNow research team will then review and add the new content if it is appropriate.

Members can monitor the most recent entries to the traffickers’ database by clicking here

If you have decided to research a particular entry then why not let the community know so they may be able to help or wont duplicate your efforts

Reporting individuals who have been named as traffickers

Please check the database of traffickers to se if this person has already been added

If there is no record then please use the “Add an alleged or known trafficker.”  The source must be from a credible public source, such as a recognized newspaper, court records or law enforcement agency web site.

We monitor some 28,000 news sources daily as well as hundreds of law enforcement agencies.

If you are aware of other law enforcement agency websites please check if we are monitoring and if not please contact us.

Reporting News

Our news section tracks tens of thousands of news sources daily and aims to identify any articles that have either information on a specific trafficker or case or news that would be of general interest to the community.  It can be reached through he main navigation bar

The news is divided by geography and also allows for members to report in news that we have missed

Reporting other sources for banned or licensed labor agents

We have only been able to identify a few government sources of information that identify companies that have been banned or de‐listed from exporting labor.

We have also only been able to identify one source that has banned specific  foreign firms from employing their nationals.

If you are aware of others that do this please let us know.

Each record also has a secondary measure to facilitate a quick review of the record.
