RELATIONSHIPS

The heart of leadership, whether at home, at work, or even in our families, is all about relationships. Relationships are often described as “the good, the bad, and the ugly!” God is a relational God and has designed us as relational beings. Unfortunately, sin messed everything up. Because of that, friendships are broken, families are torn apart, communities are divided, and countries go to war. Some have called this time in history “the death of civility.”

Amidst the residue, junk, and garbage from broken relationships, there is hope. There is a path towards restoration. Marriages can be made whole. Families can be reunited. Friendships can be renewed.

In Romans 12-16, a great framework for relational healing is presented. Tough issues are tackled, such as: • How to live with impossible people. • Dealing with life’s deepest hurts and relationship failures. • What to do when your best effort doesn’t work. • Knowing and learning what to do with the greatest relationship killer.

There are no perfect families. There are no perfect children. There are no perfect people. Yet each of us can move towards healing from damaged relationships. I’m excited about what the Word has been teaching me, and I’m honored to share it with you.

Yours for Healthy Relationships,Pastor Dave

1. The Hand-OffMay 12, 2019 | 2 Timothy 1:1-2:2No one lives to themselves. We didn’t arrive to where we are without others. We won’t get to where we are going without impacting oth-ers on the journey. Life isn’t a sprint. It’s a relay. In any relay, the hand-off is essential to winning. Dropped batons ruin the race. Learning to receive the baton correctly and handing it off precisely makes for a winning race.
