ECONOMIC IMPACTThe benefit of the EDC is measured primarily through the economic impact on Sarasota County from jobs created and capital investments made by those companies looking to expand in or relocate to Sarasota County. During the past ten years, the EDC has

completed 49 projects that created more than 3,300 good-paying jobs. These jobs have a combined annual economic impact of $1.1 billion, which includes approximately $382 million that annually benefits local businesses as shown below:
