DECLARATION: As a Certified member of the HRIA, I put forward my name for nomination and agree to serve the applicable term of office on the HRIA Board of Directors should I be elected. I attest to meeting all specified criteria outlined in the bylaws of the HRIA.
HRIA By-law: 5.2 Qualifications
In order to be eligible to be elected as a Director, a person must:1. Be an individual who is at least 18 years of age;2. be a Certified Member;3. be a Member in good standing;4. meet any other criteria as established by the Board, including but not limited to reference checks prescribed by
the Board;5. not be the subject of any disciplinary proceedings by the Society;6. not have a finding of professional misconduct, incompetence, with respect to the person in the three years
preceding the date of the election;7. reside or work in any Region approved by the Board;8. have previous board experience;9. have skills and experience commensurate with the needs of the Board, and10. not be an employee of the Society.
Leadership Statement & Bio -provide an MS Word file with specific details on the following (maximum 500 words): Statement of Intent: Why do you wish to serve the HR profession? How you will contribute to elevating the credibility
of the HR profession? What is the future that you would like to see for the HR profession? Board Service: list each board you have served, length of time, positions held, significant contributions Governance Experience: indicate your experience (volunteer, work or education) related to governance Areas of Expertise: Strategic Planning, Financial Management, Government Relations, Leadership or other
