The incumbent collaborates with the Annual Giving Director to create partnerships with gift officers and academic leaders to generate new gifts to the university while retaining prior donors. Reporting and Supervisory Responsibilities The Annual Giving Coordinator reports to a Director. This classification supervises student employees. Typical Functions 1. Oversees all areas of the university Phonathon program, including managing 25 part-time student employees and three student supervisors and creating multiple successful calling campaigns. 2. Utilizes the Phonathon program to solicit on behalf of each college, unit, and the university as a whole. 3. Leads efforts to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate the effectiveness of student callers. 4. Develops reporting metrics for Phonathon operations. Makes data- driven decisions that improve the return on investment of the Phonathon program. 5. Directs and maintains all aspects of the 12 station, six calling shifts each week. 6. Maintains and keeps current the dialing software. 7. Researches, writes, edits, and/or oversees the preparation of persuasive, accurate, and grammatically and syntactically correct solicitations, proposals, case statements, reports, 1

Summary

Ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare reports.8. Ability to plan and implement long- and short-range calling campaign initiatives.9. Ability to follow university policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Four years of experience; or a Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
