1 Version introduction

1.1 Upgrade prerequisite

The Y600 handset software should be updated with the SD card.

1.2 Upgrade files

File Name

package update.zip

Update tools SD card

2 Upgrade preparation

2.1 Check current upgrade environment

Make sure that the SD card is available and can be read and write.

2.2 rename the update package

Get the software update package, making sure the update package name should

be update.zip. If not, rename the update package as update.zip.

2.3 Confirmation of SD card path

You must put the package in the root directory of the external SD card.

3 Upgrade operations

3.1 Force upgrade

Step 1 Enter the recovery model

Turn off the device and then press the power key, when the mobile phone vibrating, then

press the volume up key immediately, it should boot into the recovery model.

Step 2 Open menu

Press the power key, then a list of menus will come up.

Step 3 Apply update from SD card

Use volume down key to select the list of menu,use volume up key to choose the of

menu of apply update from SD card ,Then open the menu of update from SD card.

Note: To restore the factory settings, select "wipte data / factory reset";

Then press volume up key and the process of the software update will begin.

Step 4 Reboot the system

When the update is completed, Then select the menu of reboot system now and

press the volume up key, the system will be rebooted.

Step 5 Check the version

After reboot you can check the version is correct or not in (Settings>About phone>Build

number).

3.2 Normal upgrade (Recommend)

Step 1. A SD card of 110MB or more should be available. No special restrictions on

the SD card .

Step 2. Format the SD card (This operation is optional).

Step 3. Copy the package which is named update.zip to the root directory of the SD

card.

Step 4. Insert the SD card into the handset and power on. After entering the home

screen, press menu key to choose Settings->Storage->Software Upgrade->SD

card Upgrade->Confirm->Confirm->Upgrade to start the upgrade. Reference to

the following pictures.

Step 5. When the progress bar stop, the phone will restart, if not you need to

remove the battery and start it manually.

4.1 Notes 1

To make sure that the power of the battery is enough to run the upgrade process.

Maybe you can connect the handset with the charger or the USB data cable to provide

power.

4.2 Notes 2

If there is something very important, recommend you to backup them.

4.3 Notes 3

If the name of vendor package or cust package isnt update.zip, please rename it.
