THE SERVICE ISN’T WHAT ITSTARTED OUT TO BE AT THEGIANT HOME CENTERS
Poor Billy Bob. By now, everyone elsehas figured it out. The prices reallyaren’t so great, the selection is limited, and the service, well, let’s just say itisn’t what it used to be. That’s whymore and more homeowners are backto shopping at their local stores. Here, consumers can get pleasant service, professional advice, and find qualityproducts like VelveTop.

Although the Huntington Hibernians’focus this Sunday will be on the parade andcelebrating Irish culture, the organization isalso keenly aware of another piece of Irishhistory. The history of the Irish is not oneof all harmony, peace and celebration. Inmost cases, the daily life for the Irish, inthis country and in Ireland, was one ofstruggle and hardship. Through the manyyears of the Irish famine, “Great Hunger”and their never-ending fight for freedomand human rights, the Irish became evenmore committed to their families, friends
and improving the quality of life in theircommunities.
Past President Jack Ryan, AOH Charities& Missions Chairman, stated that each yearDivision 4 is a leading contributor to thearea's eight local parish food pantries andwhen the call came in asking forThanksgiving help, the Division as usualresponded. "The Division has a long histo-ry of helping our local parish food pantries.Back in the 90s, most of the work was doneby a late brother, Jim Regan," PastPresident Ryan mentioned. "When Jim
passed away a few years ago, the Divisiondecided to memorialize his work by for-mally creating the Jim Regan MemorialFood Drive, not only continuing his workbut greatly expanding it."
True to the mission of Friendship, Unityand Christian Charity, the Hibernianmembers enjoy working together reachingout to their neighbors to help the less for-tunate.
