I was driVIng back to £1 Paso from Shop·ping 111 Tularosa; there are some unique items in theilrf'il that are great gifts for the holidays. 1 was travel·In9 south on highway 54 at 5:45 pm on November 19and the crUise conlrol was set right at 70mph. About10 miles south of Alamogordo police lights came upbehind me and 1 pulled over, The officer approachedmy window and a~ked, "bo you know why I puHed youover?"
"No", I replied."You were doing
of ficer."That's impossible officer I had my cruise control
set at 70". I then added, "if you were follOWing me youmust have seen that I was traveling at 70."
His next remark was- a surprise. He said he wastrav~nng in the other directron on highway 54 andcaught me on radar. Again. [ said, "That's impossible",I'm a 47 year old responsible father and member of mycommunity. I have been selected for my posUionbecause of my i-nlegl'ity and high standard of ethics. fdo not speed and I obey the taw. !,nd yes, it was impos·sible thilt the officer callshl me on radar.
