A Sanskrit Fragment of the Prajfi.aphrarnitAstotrain the Stein Collection
Kenta Suzurr
The text on the verso side of the fragment, namely IOL San 913 (Kha.i.192), closely
corresponds to the PrajfrEparamitastorra (PPS)t composed by Rahulabhadra.2 The PPS,
which is added to the beginning of most Prajfraparamitd.sutras, is composed of 20 ar 2t
verses and praisesprajfiEpEramitd,. The words, which are probably in prose, found in the
last rnro lines of this fragment have no parallels in the PPS and, therefore, remain
unidentified. The recto side of the fragment is blank.

' This folio belongrs to the same manuscript as "Pelliot Sanskit Rouge 3,' see next note. It indicates that
the latter, whose find spot was not known till now, was bought in Dunhuang. Here, I should like to
express my thanla to K. Wille who not only draw my attention to this fact but also gave me a number of
suggestions and information.2 Information given by K. Wille. According to him, this folio belongs to the same manuscript as "Pelliot
