– Active Reports have built-in interactive features allowing interactivity without making additional “trips” from device to server, providing instantaneous response

– The Active Reports can reside on the device for disconnected access

– New Active Report controls in Report Studio are designed specifically for iPad interface (Iterator controls support “swipe” gestures)

– Not meant as a distribution channel for detailed reports

– No built-in graphing engine

– Each permutation of a graph needs be rendered and stored in MHTML file

– Not truly supported

• Security

– Intended to be consumed as individual files. No data-driven security
