The ServiceDesk is the "Single Point of Contact" (SPoC) for the customer and responsible for

the recognition, classification, redirection, tracking and solution of "Incidents", including their

documentation. The main objective is to provide a solution in a timely manner, to keep the

negative effects on the business process as minor as possible.

The ServiceDesk also handles "Service Requests" for 1st Level support, service

enhancements, to deliver hardware and provides the user with general information (e.g.

status updates).

To ensure the traceability, all tickets are gathered in the Trouble Ticket Tool and handled

according to ITIL standards.

In the Profile Manager certain Profiles can be generated and saved. You can specify the searchable columns, what values you want to

search, visible columns as well as the design and layout of the shown screen.

For the versioning of BOM positions (and parts) the Mass versioning functionality can be used. Designed especially for larger

data volume, these can be applied, or rather versioned to a new change notice (ECR or ECO) in only one step.

in the Change Note on the tab „Bompos“ and on the tab „Material“

By altering the filter criteria in the header the BOM positions that are due to be altered can be searched for.

Authorized users (typically only Change Managers) can perform a status change on a Change Note. A status change can also be

triggered by a workflow.

A user is informed of having received a new workflow activity by email.

Additionally the user receives an entry to the worklist (WFWL).

By clicking the email- link or by double clicking the entry to the worklist

the respective change notice is opened.

Purpose and Assumtion of Cost Management in ICM

• Description of total cost impact of a change as basis for any decision

for the project

– All cost types

– Assignment of responsibility (modul, area)

– Lifetime-view

• Weighting of the probability of change impacts

– Distinction between the pobability of the cost-impact on the status and the change

probability

– Chance/Risk => approved reduction/ increase

– Cost recording and assesment (not of prices)

– Cost recording as the first step in ICM

– No connex to expected prices

– Pricing happens „offline“

• The change costs are to be recorded as delta value

• What is evaluated is the Change (regarding efficiency and implementation)

– No mixing of delta - and absolute value => consistent concept

Record Cost Data

Cost data can be entered either on the level of the change notice or on the level of change elements (material, BOM positions).

In the cost overview tab you can see the cost from every type.

All material costs, bom position cost, header costs and so on

are listed in this tab.

Here costs can be recorded on

the level of the change notice.

Enter Cost Data – Example „Part“

There is a list of values for modul, division and

attribut name.

It is specified which cost types (attribut names)

can be entered for the different areas and

modulgroups to parts/BOM positions.

The cost types, areas and modul groups shown,

can be filtered via the inliefilter.

This selection can be saved via a user profile.

fields can be selected and moved. For external users the field selection is deactivated.

UPP-Overview Screen (UPOV) enables the logged in user to select user profiles (public and private) which are relevant for

on-going activities.

Number of results is shown for every profile. Profiles are grouped in packages for easier navigation.

Material master-, SAM- and PPfree-data are shown as „read only“.

UPP-attributes can be principally processed.

The processing of defined UPP-attributes can be restricted if necessary so that only a specific organisational unit ( eg only the IEP department)

can be given write permission.

In cases in which a larger data amount needs to be loaded to the UPP at the beginn of UPP planning this can

happen by using the MDIM screen.

In order to be able to import data a certain import fomat needs to be observed. Should you require support for this

Assigning parts to a UPP – assignement rule


A so called assignement rule can be configurated for every UPP.

This way part versions care automatically assigned to a UPP list.

Example:

All parts of the product „Modell G-KLASSE“ of the acquisition type „Kaufteil“ shall be assigned to UPP XYZ.

Assignemnt rules for UPP „SAF“:

All those material versions of the product „Modell G-KLASSE“ are assigned

which

• Are being used in the C463/FB-BOM,

• Are linked to a request in the status > 8120,

• linked to a PEM-Umfang extent between 100 and 999 and the serial

acquisition type of the material version is either „manufactured part“ or

„purchased part“,

• show a prototype-acquisition part differing from the serial acquisition part and

the protype acquisition type is either „manufactured part“ or „purchased part“,

UPP-Status


Status N

When a part is first linked to a UPP-list, it is set to the satus N (new)

Status U, Status G

When a part is changed (a new material version is assigned to the UPP so to speak) the newly assigned part

version is set to the status G (changed), the former version is set to the satus U (invalid).

Status E

Status E (omitted) can be set manually.

If a so called „omittance logic“is activated the part version in UPP is automatically set to status E, if there no longer

is a valued BOM position for the part.

Status X, Status Y (only relevant, if an assigmement rule is configurated for an UPP)

Status X means that the assigment rule is no longer valid.

Status Y means that the assigment rule is once again valid. Status Y should be checked manually and set back to

status G for example.

Status Z (only relevant, if an ommitance rule is configurated for an UPP)

Status Z means that a part which no longer had a valid BOM position now has such a BOM position once again.

Status Z should be checked manually and set back to status G for example.

All other status values (D, F, L) are OEM specific and currently not being applied very much.

Acess Concept


Roles

In order to make an UPP-list visable for a user an UPP role needs to be created (as a rule that of the UPP editor)

and requested via the IT-serviceportal for every single product.

Restrict write permission

Basically UPP-attributes can be edited. For critical attributes there is the possibility of restricting write permission for

certain pre-defined user groups. Example : Procurement duartions can be edited only by the purchasing

department .

Freeze cells

There is the posssibility of freezing cells when certain requirements are fullfilled. Example: If the target date lies in

the past the target level is froozen thereby ensuring that planned dates can not be changed later on.

History

Furthermore there is the possibilty of recording a history for defined UPP-attribute changes. Thereby all changes

can be verified.
