WHAT IS ICT ?

What do you need ?• A laptop• A smartboard• An overhead projector• Two-piece Speaker System• A memory stick• An internet connection (WIFI)

Why is it benefit to use ICT?

1. In the classroom, it creates:• Communication• Interaction• Input2. It allows shy students to participate3. Learning becomes much more fun.

Why can one be reluctant to use ICT?

1. It’s new so:• Don’t know how to use it properly2. Fear: • New technologies are great when they work

as we want them to but when they don’t…3. Time issue:• It takes longer to plan a lesson includind ICT

because of our lack of experience.

Finally

• We have to be taught how to use them properly and maybe one day they will remplace the old cassette used in the English classroom
