The idea behind museo Schizzo

Everyone knows the difference between readinga book or watching a film: with a book every individual

will visualize the story differently.

So do sketches leave more room for different views and thus stimulate creative thinking.

In this digital era it will prove to be wise to promote and preserve sketch-like registration of ideas.

Unique in the World

The “Schizzo” will be the first museum on the globe that does not focus on the artefact or design

itself but on the thoughts behind it. Together with lively exhibition and educational programs as well as brainstorm sessions on hot

global issues it will grow to be a centre of creativity in arts, design, science and politics that

will generate heavy media exposure all over the world.

Even early sketches will inspire creativity.

Like the footbridge that has been build in the

Norway village Ås, almost 500 years after the principle sketches

of such a bridge type by Leonardo Da Vinci

What’s in a name?

“Schizzo”, being the Italian word for sketch, is chosen to honour great Italian thinkers/artists of whom Leonardo

da Vinci is the best known exponent.

The other connotation – towards schizophrenia (split, different) – will provide enough intriguing thorns to

generate a strong brain position as il Schizzo between other great musea like Le Louvre, El Prado, the

Guggenheim, etc.
