Experimental Hall design status

New considerations induced by Japanese site specifications :• Incidence on the design of the hall, on the assembly of the

detector, on its design.• Influence of seismic considerations : predominant effects of

vibrations over mechanical deformations.

1St session : Experimental Hall & Japanese site

2nd session : Coil and Magnet SystemVacuum tank :

Thickness of the vacuum tank skin ( 60 mm continuously?) Fixation to return yoke (suspension and tie rods) Hcal rail support : welded on vacuum tank? FEA calculations Construction

2nd session : Coil and Magnet SystemVacuum tank :

Thickness of the vacuum tank skin ( 60 mm continuously?) Fixation to return yoke (suspension and tie rods) Hcal rail support : welded on vacuum tank? FEA calculations Construction

Coil : conductor, winding, Internal instrumentation

Return Yoke design( shape, thickness, Muons chambers…)

Update of stray field calculations ( FSP aera, no compensating coil)

FEA : Self load and in load deformations.Definition of attachment points in the coil (azimuth and sizing)TPC support

3rd session : Calorimeters assembly and integration studies

emax = 1.69 mm

FEA : Self load and in load deformation.Definition of attachment points in the coil (azimuth and sizing)

SDHcal = room for these rails. ( also place for services)

3rd session : Calorimeters assembly and integration studies

FEA : Self load and in load deformation.Definition of attachment points in the coil (azimuth and sizing)TPC support :

• Azimuth,• fixation to Ecal/Hcal/Vaccum tank ?• Needed space ( on the face of TPC and on the other fixation

point)

if time :• Not to forgot that 700 cables coming from the inners : way

out in each case ( AHCAL/DHCAL/TPC endplate), connecting boxes

3rd session : Calorimeters assembly and integration studies

Page 8: ILD Magnet & calorimeters integration meeting Questions to be addressed

4th session : endcaps studies

Tilt of the Ahcal ( 22.5 °)(because of self load deformation)

Segmentation of the Ecal endcap

5th session : Hadronic calorimeters , design report

Update of the design of the Calos

Tooling

SDHcal : dimensioning of the gap Calo/coil ( overlap of service, rails…)
