    How To Install Images as Custom Options Extension.

    You can download the extension archive from 'My Account' section at iKantam store - check under 'My Downloadable Products'. To install the extension please follow these steps:

    • First, you need to log in to the Magento administrator area. Then go to System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager.

    • A new page will open for the Magento Connect Manager and you will be asked to provide your administrative credentials again. These are security measures, please log in using your admin access.

  • Images as Custom Options

    • Once logged in you will see 2 sections: Extensions and Settings. It is recommended to verify the options chosen in the Settings section first. In the Settings section there are several options you can configure, but leaving the default values is recommended.

    • Go to Extensions section, find the tab “Direct package file upload” and upload the archive that you’ve received from us to magento. That’s it - you’ve installed the extension.

    • Don’t forget to go to the admin area > System > Cache Management, click 'Select All', choose 'Refresh' option in the dropdown and click 'Submit' button.

    Important Note: After you are done with the extension installation, Logout from the Magento administrator area. After your next log in you’ll be able to use all the extension functionality.

    Follow these steps:

    • First, you need to log in to the Magento administrator area. Then go to System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager.

    • At the bottom of the Extensions section find the list of all installed extensions. Find ‘Images as Custom Options' extension. In the Action dropdon select 'Uninstall' and click 'Commit Changes'

    Next settings must be configured to enable proper module functioning:

    1. System -> Configuration -> Content Manamenent -> Enable WYSIWYG Editor

    - Set the meaning to: ‘Enabled by Default’

    2. System -> Configuration -> Content Manamenent -> Use Static URLs for Media Content in WYSIWYG for Catalog

    - Set the meaning to: ‘Yes’

    Module setting allows setting the size (width/height) of the images in pixels:

    After the module installation on edit product page two new options would be enabled: ‘Image’ and ‘Image Multiple’. If meaning ‘Image’ is set in admin area for the product, customer will be allowed to define only one image as an option; Option ‘Image Multiple’ enables customers to indicate more than one image simultaneously:

    This is how custom options will be presented for the store administrator:

    To add new image click ‘Add New Row’ button->fill in the Title field->click ‘Edit Image’ button In the appeared pop-up store administrator will be able to pick already uploaded to the server image/s and/or upload the image/s from local machine (Note: do not forget to save the product after configuring custom options):
