Acal BFi’s Imaging Competence Centre (ICC) is the company’s central technical laboratory in Europe. Based in Groebenzell (near Munich, Germany), it employs trained technical specialists in the field of thermal imaging.
With a dedicated resource available to our customers, this specialist team integrate, calibrate and service all types of thermal-imaging equipment. With the latest equipment and training they can support uncooled LWIR and cooled MWIR thermal cores to complete thermal-imaging systems, such as EOIR PTZ surveillance systems.
The ICC is at the core of our thermal-imaging offer and has enabled customers to design and develop their thermal infrared solutions. It provides customers with:
• Thermal zoom lens calibration (NUC)
• Backfocal distance adjustment / infinity focus
• NETD / MRTD measurement
• Cooler replacement

Cox manufacture radiometric uncooled thermal cameras.
FLIR Systems Inc. design, develop and manufacture technologies that enhance perception and awareness. We focus on their thermal imaging products including OEM thermal-imaging cores, thermal security cameras, thermal radiometric cameras and hand-held, thermal-imaging monoculars and binoculars.
G5 manufacture cooled thermal security cameras for long-range perimeter surveillance application.
General Dynamics Global Imaging Technology manufacture long- and extreme-long-range thermal cameras, imagers and multi-sensor systems delivering clarity, accuracy and reliability for mission- critical applications.
IRC manufacture custom, high-performance, infrared imaging systems for the most demanding scientific, industrial and military applications.
NIT manufacture short-wave infrared (SWIR) cameras for scientific, industrial and security applications.
PixeLINK develop industrial cameras for machine vision and microscopy applications. Their range of cameras supports all industry-standard connectivity standards including USB 3.0, USB 2.0, GigE, and FireWire.
SBIR manufacture a range of standard and custom equipment for IR and FLIR testing and simulation for aerospace and military applications. Their products include blackbodies, visible sources, target wheels, targets, collimators, target projectors, laser test module systems and IRWindows™ software for automated testing.
Silent Sentinel manufacture standard and customised surveillance and security systems including ruggedised thermal-imaging solutions.
SRI International’s Acadia video processor series gives users the ability to process complex information from full motion video and is used in law enforcement, surveillance and unmanned vehicles.
TBT manufacture a wide range of rugged waterproof (up to IP68) thermal imaging, dual thermal / visible and radiometric cameras.
VCA design, develop and manufacture IP thermal imaging cameras which combine state-of-the-art thermal imaging cores with their award-winning video analytics. VCA have created one of the first commercially available thermal cameras with edge-based analytics complimented with powerful logic-based rules which allow for tailored intelligent intruder detection algorithms.
