The Novosibirsk State Medical University and Technische Universität Dresden have the Agreement on Academic Exchange
dated 02.04.2012г. • Promotion of joint research and educational activities;• Invitation to short-term visits of faculty members and researchers for lectures,
conferences, colloquia, and symposia;• Exchange of information and pertinent publication in fields of interest to both
universities;• Exchange of faculty members, researchers and students for study and research.

- DAAD- Erasmus Mundus- Scientific cooperation- Initial Visits
All the grants have been awarded under the specific program madetogether with the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus

Erasmus Mundus
Novosibirsk State Medical University actively participates in the Erasmus Mundus programs.
- In 2012 we became an Associate Partner of the Consortium of ErasmusMundus Action 2 Consortium.
- In 2013 the TU Dresden would like to keep our University as an AssociatePartner in the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Consortium.
The Main Activities of this Consortium are:Broad-based exchange of EU and RFundergraduate, graduate and doctoral students,postdoctorate researchers and teaching staff.
Providing opportunities to RF nationals workingin public administration, public and privateenterprises with study, training or researchopportunities in the EU.

Erasmus Mundus Due to this cooperation a PhD student from the
Novosibirsk State Medical University got financing for the implementation and carrying out of research work. The host university was the Medical Faculty
Carl Gustav Carus (TU Dresden).

In 2012 a student carried out research work under the supervision of Head ofthe Department of Prevention and Care of Diabetes of the Uniklinikum,Technical University of Dresden Prof. Peter Schwarz.
The main areas of research were the manifestations of diabetic nephropathy inpatients with diabetes of the 2d type; relation between the insulin resistanceand kidney functions as well as the use of new instruments for thediagnosis of the risk of diabetes of the 2d type.

Scientific CooperationPart of the project of the Department of Public Health of
the Novosibirsk Mayor’s Office in the prevention of2-type diabetes is implemented on the bases of theNovosibirsk State Medical University and theUniklinikum of the Technical University of Dresden.

The students got acquainted with the structure of the University and MedicalFaculty, organization of the academic process and peculiarities of training amedical specialists, visited lectures and practical classes.

Initial Visits In order to train highly qualified specialists in the field of medicineour universities arranges initials visits during which the leaders of the university meet with the specialists of TU Dresden, visit lectures, practical classes.
