Where we started:

• Implemented a new curriculum in 2005• Implemented a course & lecturer evaluation process in 2005

• Items based on Senate’s Teaching and Learning Contract• Paper-based• Results administration a lengthy process, undermined formative evaluation

• Placed same evaluation on Vula in 2009• Results administration greatly improved• Lecturers and teaching still evaluated by naïve evaluators• Improvements in teaching practice not taken into account

Where we are going now:

• Using our programme evaluation knowledge• Evaluand: course and lecturer • Outcomes, indicators and standards

• Suki to present the process she will use to put a new course and lecturer evaluation together

• multiple indicators• multiple evaluators• reflect continuous professional development of teaching staff
