    Update on Operation Paperback!

    Greetings Archway and Anthem Prep families,

    I personally want to thank you all for your incredibly generous donations last month concerning Operation Paperback. In total, there were 1,046 books donated, which is a 247% increase from the last year's book drive! Also, they were sent to 15 different locations, including California, South Dakota, Kansas, New York and even a military base off the coast of Africa! I also want to recognize and give many thanks to Kyle Goveia, Alec Dent, Kimberly Reese and Gabi White for giving up their whole day to help me organize, count and pack all 1,046 books. If you’ve yet to make your Tax Credit contribution to Anthem Prep | Archway, there is still time!     TRACK IS BEING OFFERED FOR MS & HS!

    High School spring sports offered are: Baseball, Softball, and both Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis. HS Track will also be

    offered at this time!

    Middle School Sports offered are: Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball and Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis. MS Track will also be

    offered at this time!

    FYI...Practices for track will be held at Shea Middle School and Boulder Creek High School.

    Sign- ups are open, so sign-up as soon as possible. Go to registermyathlete.com to sign up and pay. High school

    fee is $300 and Middle school fee is $275.

    Archway Ballet Club—Begins January 20th!

    Diamond Dance Works is excited to begin ballet class again this semester at Anthem Archway. The spring ballet dance session begins Friday January 20th and ends April 28th.     K-8th Grade Chess Club—Begins January 27th!

    Chess Emporium will offer another session of chess for our students, K-8th grades, and is a great way to practice chess against other opponents in a competitive setting. The session begins on January 27th and ends May 12th. Space is limited so register as soon as possible. The Chess Emporium also holds classes, camps, and tournaments at their newly opened location on Carefree Highway.

    6th-12th Grade Art Clubs

    Art Club For 6th and 7th grade will start Thursday, 1/19, at 3:05 pm-4:05pm.

    The 8-12th grade Art Club will remain on Tuesdays, and will begin again on Jan 17th. Mrs. Smirnoff will offer additional information during study hall.

    Congratulations to The Archway Anthem Chess Team!

    The Archway Anthem Chess Team (Natalia Shankool, Landon Jurek, and Justin Lee) came in 7th place out of 37 schools at the Phoenix wide Kings Castle Chess Tournament in December! Justin Lee came in 6th place out of 67 students, taking home his first tournament trophy. See details for the Chess Club below.

    3rd-5th grade 3:10-4:05PM What to wear: Be sure to wear your uniform shorts, or pants to school that day. You will wear this for dance class. There will not be time to change. Ballet shoes are welcome, but not required. Cost and how to enroll: $100 check made out to Diamond Dance Works.
