Crazy Hair Day!

Principal’s Report Dear Parents and Carers, Well done to all of our students for brightening up our school at the Crazy Hair Day last Friday, organised by our SRC. A total of $76 was raised which the SRC has already earmarked. Thank you everyone for your fabulous support. Our Kinder Transition for 2022 continues again this Friday from 9:30 am until 1pm. We will be doing the ICAS English Competition tomorrow, Wednesday, and the Mathematics on Thursday. The dates this year have been flexible due to home learning in various towns and cities across the country. Next Tuesday 2nd November, Victoria has it’s Melbourne Cup public holiday, with many also taking the Monday off. Parents and carers are reminded that, as a NSW school, we do not have this as a holiday and, as such, we will be open and ready for learning. If your child is absent on either of these days, please provide a reason for their absence to their teacher. A huge thank you to the additional parents or carers who have provided feedback for the Tell Them From Me survey. We would greatly appreciate all parents and carers completing this. You have until 26th November. Please find the link to the survey below http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/hgb3q. Due to a decision by the NSW Government, we have been advised by the Commonwealth Bank that they will no longer be continuing with the CommBank School Banking program next year. Students with enough tokens should redeem their reward items as soon as possible before the year’s end. As movement increases on both sides of the border, we are becoming increasingly aware of the need to take extra care when out and about. This is especially the case with nearby cases and local exposure sites. Let’s help keep our community safe. John Francis, Principal

COVID-19 Advice to Families

• Parents and carers are reminded that non-essential visitors including parents or carers are not permitted in schools unless you have a pre-arranged meeting.

• If your child is late to school, please drop them at the gate and send them via the office to collect a late-pass. You can ring the office to let them know the reason for being late.

• Parents, carers, staff or other visitors to the school who do not have access to electronic devices for the purposes of QR check in, can sign in at the office using the new electronic process.

• Students must not attend school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. • Parents and carers must follow their school’s advice regarding changes to drop off and pick up

including staying in the car when dropping off and picking up children if safe to do so.

Parents should:   • maintain physical distancing by avoiding gathering outside of school gates • remain outside of school grounds (note some exceptions may apply regarding schools for specific

purposes, vulnerable students or students with disability) • follow mask-wearing requirements and sign in using the Service NSW QR code when entering the

school.
