Please continue to encourage your child to practice his/her reading and math skills throughout the summer! u Make sure your child arrives to school on time. They are marked tardy if not in classroom by 8:05. u If your child is absent, you must call the office or send in a note to be excused. u Have your child read every night and enter it on their reading log in their agenda. u Please review any homework assignment before it is turned in. u Car Loop- please hang the card listing your child's name and teacher's name to help speed up the process. Please do not hold up the line to talk to your child's teacher. Reading Strategies Stuck on a New Word? When your child gets "stuck" on a word, remind him/her to use their reading strategies. Having your child decorate the outside of the journal can also keep him/her motivated to write and instill a sense of pride.
