Globalizations is a

pioneering journal that has been

shaping and defining the field of globalization

studies and globalization research and is now

moving into its seventh year of publication. We

sponsor innovative scholarship, we are seeking to be at

the cutting edge of knowledge construction in the field

of globalization studies. The journal is multidisciplinary

throughout in all its endeavours.

It’s a multidisciplinary journal which invites

contributions from all the main social sciences,

including environmental studies and public

health studies. The journal is very concerned with contemporary and future relevance

and addresses a whole number of crucial global issues in a variety of dimensions.

As in the title of the journal – Globalizations – we regard the concept as open, not

pre-defined, and not having any singular theory or perspective so the journal is

inherently heterodox and pluralistic and inclusive. It is also committed to being

socially and politically engaged meaning that we wish to invite scholars who want to

make a difference in the world.

And so we invite you to contribute to the journal as a reader, by citing articles in the

journal, telling others about the journal and especially contributing your work as a

scholar. We are open to all regions of the world and we invite work from young
