Dating back to 1879, our historic villa with its Moorish and eclectic style is absolutely one of its kind. Villa Crespi’s unique architecture, reminiscent of the Middle East, is sure to captivate you just like Cristoforo Benigno Crespi, a wealthy cotton merchant. It was he, who after several trips to faraway lands, decided to build and dedicate this magnificent home above the banks of one of the most romantic lakes in Italy to his beloved wife, Pia.

PILLOW MENU
The cushions and pillows on the beds are made of pure Italian down and guarantee maximum comfort. However, we have carefully chosen a selection of pillows to suit the likes and needs of all our Guests.The Reception is always on hand to arrange them for you.
The Memory pillow, which is temperature-sensitive and self-molding, guarantees excellent breathability and comfort.
The Latex pillow, hypoallergenic and antibacterial, guarantees perfect breathability for a healthy night’s sleep. The anti-mite fibre pillow offers the right level of comfort with the guarantee of maximum hygiene.
The Arolla pine-filled pillow with its antibacterial properties is particularly luxurious. Pure wool and white fir shavings are wrapped in the purest down for a healthy and refreshing night’s sleep thanks to the Vitamin C and essential oils in the pine wood. You’ll be able to truly relax, by lowering your heart rate while restoring your physical and mental wellbeing.
Our hypoallergenic and antibacterial mattresses have been handcrafted to ensure a sound night’s sleep. We would be happy to provide you with any further information. Our rooms are steam cleaned using the Bioallergen chemical-free filter system which guarantees the rooms are allergy-free.

Our reception staff is happy to assist you with reservations at the Bistrot in Novara and Turin, both awarded a Michelin star in 2018.
The philosophy of Chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo’s cuisine has been echoed and interpreted by his “students” in a more infor-mal setting using excellent raw materials and taking care of each guest.

DomodossolaDominated by the Sacro Monte Calvario, its center is Piazza del Mercato with its char-acteristic 15th-century porticoes and 15th and 16th-century houses.
Valle Anzasca Macugnaga is its pearl. This Walser village is located at the foot of Monte Rosa (m. 4634), the second highest mountain in Europe. Its ski slopes and various alpine and hiking trails attract year round enthusiasts from all over the world. Be sure to visit the Walser Muse-um and the only gold mine open to visitors in Europe.
Valle Vigezzo Characteristic for its picturesque plateau and magnificent pinewoods. In Santa Maria Maggiore, the Museo dello Spazzacamino or Chimney Sweep Museum commemo-rates one of the traditional work of the local people and the Scuola di Belle Arti Rossetti Valentini is home to some of the paintings of the best artists of the valley. Re is known for its Madonna del Sangue sanctuary, a popu-lar destination for many pilgrims.With the characteristic railway line called “Vigezzina”, you can reach Locarno in Swit-zerland.
Valle Formazza Its villages are of Walser origin with their tra-ditional wooden houses. The Cascata del Toce waterfall (143 m. – visible in summer) is magnificent example of natural beau-ty. From the waterfall you can continue on through breathtaking alpine territory as you reach the beautiful artificial lakes of Moras-co, Toggia and Castel. There are numerous alpine skiing trails in winter and various hik-ing trails in summer.

A GUIDED TOUR OF ORTA SAN GIULIO

Itinerary:
A short visit to Orta San Giulio’s Sacro Monte, 300 meters from the hotel grounds. A reli-gious pilgrimage of 20 chapels narrating the life of San Francesco or St. Francis. The 376 terracotta statues, created by important lo-cal artists, are in Renaissance and Baroque style from the 16th and 18th centuries. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. The surrounding woods are part of a nature reserve.
Walk towards the center of Orta San Giulio along Via Motta, 1.2 Km.
Boat to the island of San Giulio. Visit to the Romanesque church dedicated to San Giulio in the XI Century. Inside you will find the 14th-16th century chapel, the pulpit from the 11th century and the crypt with the body of San Giulio.
Return to Orta San Giulio by boat. End of visit. (preso da testo inviato)

EXCURSIONS
ORTA – CARCEGNA – PETTENASCO – ORTA (2 H.)Leaving from Piazza Motta, follow until you reach Crociera. After about 200 meters, take the small road on the left and continue until you reach the unguarded railway crossing. Follow on to the paved road where you’ll turn left to reach Carcegna. At the church, turn left and enter the village; continue along a small road (Via Pettenasco) that leads through woodlands and meadows towards Pettenasco. Here, just follow the same road to return.
ORTA – VACCIAGO –LORTALLO – MONTE MESMA – ORTA (3 H.)Leaving from Piazza Motta, follow until you reach Crociera. Go through the village and continue on towards Miasino. After about 300 meters, at the first bend, there is a mule track on the right that will take you to Vacciaghetto. Proceed on the right until you reach Vacciago. At the sign marked “colonia”, turn right and take a small road towards the small church of Sant’Antonio. Continue along a downhill path before taking the road towards Lortallo - Monte Mesma and at the entrance to the latter take the winding mule track following the Stations of the Cross. Once you reach the small square in front of the Franciscan convent, you will have an extraordinary view of the Lake and Monte Rosa. Take the time to visit the convent with its characteristic cloister and charming church. Follow along the same road to return.
ORTA – BOCCIOLA SANCTUARY (2 H.)Leaving from Piazza Motta, follow until you reach Crociera. Go through the village and continue on towards Miasino. After about 300 meters, at the first bend, there is a mule track on the right that will take you to Vacciaghetto. Continuing on the left, you’ll come to the road leading to the Santuario Della Bocciola, where the view from the terrace is absolutely spectacular. On the way back, take the road to Miasino and at the crossroads head towards Orta. After about 200 meters, on the right, there is a path leading back to Legro where you can enjoy the beautiful frescoed walls.
