In This Life Promises Are Broken• Often by those whose integrity is
questionable.• Also by well-meaning, faithful Christians.
cp. 1 Cor. 4:19, 16:5-9; 2 Cor. 1:15ff• Regardless, we feel let down.
Such is Not the Case With God• God’s promises have never, and will never
fail. • Thus, His faithfulness – as seen through
His promises – should be reflected, to the best of our ability, in our walk with Him.
A Sampling of God’s Promises
“The Bible is so full of God’s promises, that it is not really possible to count them.
Some people have tried and come up with about 3000. Others have counted 7000.
Herbert Lockyer wrote a book called All the promises of the Bible
and claims to list 8000.”
