Introduction
Add on course is a certificate oriented course, linked to certain undergraduate courses within
the college. No university curriculum can adequately cover all areas of importance or
relevance. It is important for higher education institutions to supplement the curriculum to
make students better prepared to meet industry demands as well as develop their own
interests and aptitudes. Our Department offers a wide variety of short term certificate
courses which are conducted after class hours.
Course Benefits:
Health education should be given to the students especially concerning the use of
indigenous herbal remedies.
The course helps to learn the benefits of plant medicines and to take responsibility for
their own health.
Many of the therapeutic ways are described in this course.
Add on course also helps to students to know the value of plants for commercial
purpose.
It also says the well-established drugs have been developed by the scientists after
analysing the chemical constituents of plants traditionally used by tribal’s and
villagers.
