Taxonomic Tags for Flickr ToolYou can use the iNaturalist.org Taxonomic Tags for Flickr tool to search for tags for your species image.

• Go to: http://inaturalist.org/taxa/flickr_tagger • Enter in the common or scientific name of the species (at any taxonomic level) and

click Lookup. iNaturalist will automatically look species that match your key words. • Click Make Tags to see possible taxonomic names for you to choose from, which you

can copy and paste into the tag box in Flickr

• Click on the Make tags button to generate your tag or tags• Copy and paste the tag into the tag field on Flickr

*** Remember when you enter in a name with a space you need to use quotation marks when you enter the tag into Flickr (ex. “taxonomy:binomial=Limulus polyphemus” )

Automatic Image TaggingYou can also link your Flickr Photostream to iNaturalist to automatically tag your images.

• Create a free iNaturalist Account and follow prompts to “link” your account to Flickr• Search for and make tags• Choose photos from your photostream to be automatically tagged and click Tag these photos
