Definition

• The ability to make or otherwise bring into existence something new, whether a new solution to a problem, a new method or device, or a new artistic method or form.

• As the development and extension of ideas, the products results, all the solutions and judgments, which, 1- are new and innovative 2- considering the situation, be appropriate and favorable

• Synonyms: innovations, ability to create

Moving closer

• Lately, creative workers have been moving closer to the upper management

• No idea was left unturned, all were explored no matter what “level” an employee was

• Richard Flordia’s “creative class” was formed

Downsizing and Creativity• The impact of downsizing on the innovation of the

individual employee, because I reasoned that, without individual innovation there would be no innovation at project or firm levels.

• Zhou, Shin, and Cannella found that creativity increased when employees perceived opportunity but was limited when they perceived threat.
