I completed my bachelor degree in Business Administration at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo before heading to Lisbon in pursuit of a Master’s degree at CATÓLICA-LISBON. I decided to apply to CATÓLICA for the ultimate international experience, and I have never looked back. I chose the International MSc in Management, with a major in Corporate Finance, as I was motivated to continue with a program that was broad, diverse, and would not limit me to a particular profession. The program surpassed my expectations, with an extensive selection of engaging and relevant courses, particularly in the field of finance, held by highly qualified professors. I also appreciated the multicultural environment of students and staff from countries all around the world. After graduating from CATÓLICA-LISBON, my newfound knowledge and confidence has led me to pursue an international career at the American stock exchange, NASDAQ.

“The decision to go to Lisbon was one of the best in my life"- After finishing my Bachelor in Germany, I wanted to develop myself further individually and professionally and came across Católica. The balance of excellent staff, future orientation and of course outstanding living standards convinced me to start a new chapter. Soon after I arrived at Católica I met ambitious colleagues from all over the world, who wanted to take the next step same as me. Early in the program, we had productive case study seminars with Consulting executives to improve our skills and build our professional network. Throughout the demanding Master program, I learned more about where I position myself in the future and gained the relevant skill set from leading researchers and economists.Based on Lisbon's transformation into Europe's start-up center the energy within the city gets feasible. Every week I had the chance to attend start-up seminars and you really feel that drive of people, who want to change current standards. That experience was impressive. Besides university, I was lucky to explore wonderful Lisbon and Portugal with my colleagues. The happiness and friendliness of Portuguese people is simply amazing (of course speaking Portuguese is a plus). After two years at Católica, I met interesting people, made life-long friendships and studied at a university, which takes part in Europe's Silicon Valley movement.Hence moving to Lisbon was one of the best decisions in my life.”

Julius Fritsch, GermanyInternational Master in Management

“After having studied Economics for three years and gaining a more general understanding of how economies and businesses work and interconnect with each other, I wanted to engage in something more practical. Hence, I chose CATÓLICA-LISBON as the host for my Master studies. I found that the panoply of group projects, case studies, multicultural teams and diverse backgrounds the university offers would be beneficial for my own learning curve. And indeed, it was. These experiences enabled me to have a deeper cross-cultural understanding, both at personal and professional levels. Besides, Católica is engaging in a closer connection with the students and their pro-active initiatives, such as the one I belong to - 180 Degrees Consulting - which I truly believe have the utmost value for my career.”

Nuno Castanheira, PortugalMaster in Management with specialization in Strategy & Entrepreneurship

“Católica-Lisbon represents the most important experience of my life thus far. I grew more in one year than in my entire Bachelor's degree. The familiar environment you will find is just terrific. I will always remember my first day at the campus when, at the registration desk, they welcomed me by my first name. Studying with people coming from everywhere around the world and with so many different backgrounds is priceless. It opens your mind to boundless frontiers. Furthermore, the several workshops organized by Career Development Office helped me develop my soft skills and taught me how to use important tools.

Last but not least, since results are what really matter, I’m now working for a company I have always admired in Barcelona. I can now recommend the school and Lisbon!”

Antonio Buoso, ItalyInternational Master in Management

"Economic questions have become a central topic of today’s society. Católica-Lisbon’s Master in Economics provides its students with advanced techniques and economic tools to analyze such questions. We are also exposed to current key issues and encouraged to develop our own views. The Master in Economics is very well structured in all the possible major areas.

It can also be demanding at times but fortunately the Faculty is always there to provide guidance and help through the way."

João Guerreiro, PortugalMaster in Economics

“CATÓLICA-LISBON allowed me to acquired valuable critical thinking and problem solving skills. Students learn to be professionals in a very international environment where everyone adapts and discovers new cultures. Lectures convey the theoretical knowledge and challenge students with academic readings, while group projects boost both soft and hard skills.

The Master in Finance is a challenging experience that taught me endurance and hard work.”

Meriem Kanzari, TunisiaMaster in Finance

"Looking back at my experience in Católica-Lisbon, I truly feel like I studied in a top Business School that qualified me to perform on a high level both in Portugal and abroad, where I ended up starting my career. When choosing this program I wanted to gain both a solid academic knowledge and a deeper insight on the business world, while having as much international exposure as possible. I achieved all of this and grew a lot along the way, personally and professionally.Overall, Católica topped all expectations: the methods used are engaging and include a strong practical component, the faculty is of outstanding quality and the environment is very international. I was able to take away more from the experience than I ever thought possible.Choosing Católica was the best decision I could have made and I can recommend it to any business student with a driven mindset!"

Sofia Simões, PortugalMaster in Management with specialization in Strategic Marketing

"Coming from a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, I felt that I needed to expand my horizons by gaining more in-depth management tools. The MSc in Business at CATÓLICA-LISBON came to me as the obvious choice. I am able to say that CATÓLICA instantly opened many doors for me. Not only am I extremely satisfied with the globally recognized and top-level teaching in the program but also, in terms of the academic environment, CATÓLICA enables one to take part in many extra-curricular activities by joining school clubs or sports teams. It made me challenge myself continuously both personally and professionally. Thanks to CATÓLICA-LISBON, I look forward to what my future holds. Now, I feel more confident to join the job market and to have access to limitless opportunities all over the world."

Daniela Coco, PortugalMaster in Business

"Before coming to CATÓLICA-LISBON, I had the goal of taking a Master’s degree in a top business school, where I would be continually challenged by over-achieving peers and brilliant academic staff, but also where I would be supported by people that would help me prepare to land my dream job. Applying to the MSc in Finance was one of the best decisions I have made. The courses and workload are demanding, but provide you with the deep knowledge and tools to shine in the job market and achieve your desired goals. You are surrounded by ambitious, yet friendly colleagues, brilliant professors who motivate you to excel and a supportive career staff that will help you develop your personal skills, so that you can grow not only intellectually, but also psychologically.I definitely recommend the MSc in Finance at CATÓLICA-LISBON to ambitious and hard-working people, who want to excel in their studies and future careers, and are willing to make it happen."

“The Joint Degree in Economics with Louvain is definitely a singular experience that will happen nowhere else and in no other stage of your life. I believe the knowledge, values and the close relationship with professors that you bring from Lisbon, plus a truly international experience and a higher dose of intensive hard work and fun, ,that you take from Louvain, make you the perfect candidate to pursue an academic and research career via PhD or to work

wherever you want, in whatever you wish.”

Catarina Marvão, PortugalJoint Degree CATÓLICA-LISBON and Catholique of Louvain

“If I had to describe the double degree CATÓLICA-LISBON/ESCP in few words, I would say with confidence that it was one of the most enriching and fun experiences that I had so far. Not only I had the opportunity to study in one of the top 10 European Business Schools, as I had the chance to live in one of the most beautiful and interesting cities, where every day there is something new happening. What I liked most at ESCP was the balance between study and personal life. Sports and extra-curricular activities are strongly encouraged and social events are endless.

I strongly recommend. I would repeat it all over again! ”

“After I had completed my bachelor’s degree and subsequently taken a gap year to further gain work experiences, I chose to pursue my master’s degree at CATÓLICA-LISBON. The choice was quite quickly made, as I was looking for a unique study experience in an international environment with the opportunity to follow a double degree track. During my time at CATÓLICA-LISBON, I especially appreciated, besides the practice-oriented teaching style, the manifold internal as well as external (corporate) workshops. They were a great opportunity to further develop soft skills, put knowledge to the proof of real world situations and prepare for next career steps. My second year at ESCP was at least as much memorable as the first year in Lisbon. Both experiences let me expand on business knowledge and meet many like-minded people from all around the world, of which I count some few to my closest friends today. Looking back, I would do everything the same way again.“

Alexandra Dzimiera, GermanyDouble Degree CATÓLICA-LISBON and ESCP

“The Double Degree program was an obvious choice because it allowed me to combine Católica's Finance program and ESCP's program, as well as spend time in two great cities. The two-year program has offered me a stimulating coursework that has fully prepared me for the career that lies ahead. Now that I have started working in the industry, I feel that Católica's Finance program has truly provided me with a strong knowledge base and great technical abilities. I completed Católica's undergraduate studies and I'm proud to call it a second family. The people you'll meet at Católica and ESCP will become some of your closest friends and the exposure to different nationalities and new experiences is unparalleled.“

Teresa Silveira, PortugalDouble Degree CATÓLICA-LISBON and ESCP

“With an increasing market competition to ensure a successful career, our educational choices are now more relevant than ever. That’s why I chose the Double Degree program at CATÓLICA-LISBON with Bocconi University, in Milan. The solid academic foundation of these top tier universities, combined with the international exposure to new cultures and ways of thinking, contributed to a wider vision of my own reality as well as future ambitions. I had the opportunity to explore extra-curricular activities such as entrepreneurship and technology clubs. But what made this experience even better were all the different and unique people I connected with in these two inspiring cities. Currently, I’m working at Center for Disruption (C4D) at Deloitte Digital Portugal to create new disruptive businesses with focus on emerging technologies. And this is only the start, thanks to my learning experience at CATÓLICA-LISBON.“

“What does distinguish you from all other candidates?”- I believe everyone was ever asked this question at an interview. However, I am proud to say that my competitive advantages were surely enhanced by the Double Degree Program. The first year was the MSc in Finance at CATÓLICA-LISBON. I will not hide: it was difficult, pain and stressful but it boosted my analytical capacities, hard work and determination like nowhere else. The second year in Paris, at ESCP Europe was unexplainable – from Space X partners speaking at a practical lesson to TED talker professors. Some courses were amongst the best I ever had in terms of contents and lectures. All in all, the Double Degree program helped making me a creative person but numerical person – and this is not very easy to find.“

“After finishing my undergraduate studies at CATÓLICA-LISBON I knew I wanted to increase my international experience with a Masters abroad. The Double Degree Program with ESCP Paris allowed me to obtain two Masters at two Top universities and proved to be the best choice I’ve ever made - both professionally and personally. The Master program at CATÓLICA-LISBON was everything I was expecting, challenging and fundamental to my personal and professional growth, while the year in Paris provided me with the unique experience of what is like to study in a truly international environment with a broader range of curriculum options. In a nutshell, the two years of the Double Degree Program provided me with the tools needed to be prepared for the challenges of the working environment.“
