SUCCESS STORIES

For me, coming to know India Sudar is like discovering great hidden

treasure and partnering with them is like being a part of creating new

life for those poor and down trodden children in Manipur. Due toconstant disharmony between communities and terrorism related

violence in the state, many children are denied of their right to

education. But because of India Sudar, 21 such children in

Manipur can dream of their futures.

I wish many more people of “haves” may pour in to India Sudar so thatthey may in turn support more children including tribal children inManipur

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

ONE KID ONE FIFTY [IS Andhra Pradesh]

Date: 15th August

India Sudar distributed school kits to students of Govt Girls High School Amberpet and Govt Primary School,MachaBollarum, Hyderabad under project name "OneKid OneFifty". School bags and other stationary items had been

purchased from wholesale dealers and were distributed to the students. More than 15 India Sudar volunteers werepresent on site. More than 220 students benefitted from the project. The team held meetings with teachers andstudents and they identified other necessary requirements for the schools.

TEACHER DEPLOYMENT

SHIBHU SANKAR SISHU NIKETAN [IS West Bengal]

India Sudar started supporting Shibshankar Sishu Niketan, Kailashpur, Nandakumarpur, Mathurapur Block-II, South 24Parganas Dt from August 2009. We have been deploying teachers and providing educational stationary for the school.Presently three teachers appointed by India Sudar are working at the site and we recently renewed their contracts forthe academic year 2011-12.

ERAIYANOOR VILLAGE [IS Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar has been providing complete educational support to 'New Life', a home for helpless children at Eraiyoor Village, Mathur Post, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. Our teachers have been working there for the pasttwo years and we renewed the teacher deployment scheme for the academic year 2011-12.

Project Cost: Rs.19000/-

GORIPALLAYAM , MADURAI [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 18 th Aug, Thursday

India Sudar had deployed two teachers at Ponmudiyar Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School, Velayudham PillaiLane, Goripalayam, Madurai - 625 002 to provide regular training for poorly performing students in 10th and 12thstandard. Last year 100 students benefitted from the project. We are extending the teacher deployment for theacademic year 2011-12.


LEARNING CENTERS , NELLORE [IS Andhra Pradesh]

India Sudar has been running 16 learning centres at different villages in Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. We haveemployed 16 teachers at these centres. Many village students studying in nearby government schools benefit from thecentres. We reopened the learning centres at all the 16 villages in July 2011 after a brief vacation. The teachers will

continue to work for the academic year 2011-12.

ARIANKUPPAM , PONDICHERRY [IS Tamil Nadu]

Baby Sarah's Home located in Ariyankuppam, Pondicherry provides food, shelter, education, soft skill training etc tophysically and mentally challenged students. India Sudar deployed a tuition teacher at the home to provide Englishclasses to the students.

THIAGAM WOMEN TRUST [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 12th August

Thiagam women trust mainly focuses on activities for disabled women. It creates self-employment for them toenhance the livelihood and addresses issues related to their rights. India Sudar has been deploying tuition teachers atThiagam Learning Centres. We are supporting 10 centres, out of which six are supported by TCE Crescendo group.

We renewed the teacher deployment on all the sites for the academic year 2011-12.

PERUNGUDI , CHENNAI [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 24th August, Wednesday

Member: Sargunan T

India Sudar deployed a part time teacher at learning centre at Ambetkar Puratchi nagar, Perungudi, Chennai. 42students studying in various standards will benefit the program. Malar Trust Onlus provides the fund for the project.

Total project cost is Rs.10800/-.

QUICKER MATHS TRAINING [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 27th July

India Sudar team visited Government Higher Secondary School, Renganathampettai, Karur and took a two hourtraining session on Mathematics. The team explained shortcut ways to tackle maths problems to solve them quickly.They also introduced some interesting games in number theory.

CAREER GUIDANCE

SESSION ON HUMAN VALUES [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 30th July

India Sudar organized a session on Thiru Kural for Human values at Government Higher Secondary School,Renganathampettai, Karur and Government High School, Porani, Karur Dt. The session was taken up by Mr. AnandhaKumar. A total of 370 students attended the session.

TIRUVALLUR DISTRICT [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 14th August

Members: K.Balamanikandan, Ram Kumar, Sargunan T, C.S.Rajesh, Balamurugan, Udhaya Kumar.V

India Sudar conducted career guidance program at TMKV Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Ammayar Kuppam,Tiruvallur district. K.Balamanikandan started Power point presentation on professional and non-professional jobsincluding catering business, public administration jobs, tour guide, and fashion designing. Besides, IS member RamKumar discussed arts and science courses available, scope for job and other details such as Government aided benefitsand scholarships. A motivational speech was given by Sargunan T. The presentations were followed by an interactivesession. Around 175 students participated in the program.

SELF MOTIVATION MOVIE [IS Tamil Nadu]

As part of the soft skill training, India Sudar prepared a short film to motivate students into Entrepreneurship. This self motivation movie teaches the meaning of hard work, self confidence, dedication and planning. The success formula of Sakthimasala, KPN Travels, CRI pumps, Lion Dates, Anil semiya are explained with exact theme and useful quotes. Oursincere thanks to the team who came up with the movie.

THIRUNINRAVUR, CHENNAI [IS Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar conducted a career guidance session aimed at school students and another session on Civil Serviceexamination for college students at Sakthi Engineering College, Thirunindravur, Chennai. Prof. Chidamabarm.M,

Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai was the chief guest for the event. Hisspeech was followed by a career guidance session taken by India Sudar team. The team explained various careeropportunities available after plus 2. Booklets on career guidance were distributed to the students after the event. Bookswere sponsored by Malar Trust Onlus. 389 students participated in the session.

SPECIAL SESSION FOR CIVIL SERVICE ASPIRANTS

Post noon India Sudar team held a session for Civil Service aspirants. 19 Students from Thiruvallur, Chennai,Kanchipuram, Karur and Cuddalore participated.

Total project cost = Rs.4611/- .Thanks to Prof.M. Chidambaram, Malar Trust Onlus, Udhavum Nanbargal and SakthiEngineering College for their support.

COIMBATORE DISTRICT [IS Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar team visited Govt Higher Sec School, Vellaingadu, Coimbatore and conducted a career guidance session to

plus one students followed by a motivational session. A total of 80 students attended the session.

KARUR DISTRICT [IS Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar organized a career guidance session on ITI and Diploma at Government Higher Secondary School,Renganathampettai, Karur and Government High School, Pughalur, Karur Dt. The session was taken up by Mr. SenthilMurugan and Mr. Prabhu. A total of 410 students attended the session.
