exacting requirements, the Indoor Refractopack

V luminaire is ideally suited for warehouses,

loading docks and general industrial areas.

Designed for nearly all warehouse applications,

Indoor Refractopack V’s long and narrow

distribution provides excellent vertical

illumination on faces of boxes in warehouse

racks allowing workers to read labels easily.

The square distribution can be utilized to

maintain vertical and horizontal light levels at

aisle junctions and bulk storage areas. Hard to

light, non-square areas can be illuminated

using the asymmetric distribution.

Loading docks

Indoor Refractopack V luminaire will operate intemperature ambients up to 55°C, thus non-heated and non-air conditioned loading docksare ideal places to utilize this highly efficient fixture. Truck terminals and other 24-hour a day operating areas will benefit from the lowmaintenance of these units. Long and narrowand asymmetric distributions will throw lightinto trailers thereby speeding up loading andunloading.

General industrial areas

Flexibility in luminaire layout to accommodatechanging factory production is designed into theIndoor Refractopack V luminaire. A wide varietyof lamps, including 250W and 400W HPS;250W and 400W MH; and 400W Pulse StartMH are available. The asymmetric, long and narrow, and square distributions meet a complete range of horizontal and vertical illuminationrequirements. Dirty environments can be efficiently lighted with this luminaire since the optical assembly is enclosed, gasketed, andfiltered.

Product Features

SpecificationsComplete luminaire shall be Holophane catalognumber ________. The luminaire shall consistof two sub-assemblies: ballast assembly; containing the electrical components and theoptical assembly.

The complete luminaire shall be UL listed toU.S. and Canadian safety standards for damplocation per UL-1598. When the unit must besuitable for use in wet locations, the followingadditional paragraph should be added: Thecomplete luminaire shall carry the UL label“Suitable for Wet Locations,” and have allentries sealed to eliminate the entry of moisture when used in wet environments.

Ballast assembly

The cast aluminum ballast housing shall beprotected by a seven stage phosphate pretreatment followed by a sprayed on andcured polyester powder paint.

Optical assembly

Glass refractor shall be Endural® prismaticborosilicate glass. The refractor shall be 15” (381mm) in diameter and 9.5” (241mm)deep with precisely formed prisms producing a _____________ light distribution(long and narrow, square or asymmetric). Therefractor shall be held in a hinged door. Whenclosed, the refractor will be mated with areflector painted with white 88% reflectancepolyester powder.

When optical assembly is attached and therefractor door is in place, the optical assemblybecomes totally enclosed, gasketed and filtered.Fixture to breathe through a non-deterioratingfiberglass gasket between the optical assemblyand the ballast housing.
