andwarm,heatedair,flowingout.WhentheIndAC aircurtainismountedaboveornexttoanopendooritprovidesavery

efficientseparationoftwoclimatesatthelowestenergyconsumption.Thecomfortofstaffoperatingnearthedoorisimproved

byheatingtheaircurtainoutletstreamthuspreventingdraught.Acorridormightseemarelativecheapoptionbutitmakes

models,withoutaheatedairstreamarealsoavailableforuseinenvironmentswithahigh

ambienttemperatureandforotherspecificapplications.

ApplicationareasTheaircurtainisspecificallydesignedforuseinfactories,warehouses,logisticscentresand

productionhallsbutcanalsobeusedincoldstores.

ThermographicproofByviewingathermographimageofadoorway,theperformanceofanaircurtaincanbefully

appreciated.Heatradiation,whichisinvisibletothehumaneye,isrecordedusingaspecial

measuringscreenandahigh-resolutionthermalcamera.Thecameramakesthetemperature

oftheairflowvisibleandshowsthattheIndAC aircurtainperfectlyseparatesindoorand

outdoorclimates.Theupperimageontherightshowscoldairenteringoverthefloorwhenthe

LetIndAC doallthework!AutomaticcomfortWithchangingweatherconditionsandinsufficientattentiontoorknowledgeofanaircurtain,itfrequentlyoccursthatanair

curtainisnotproperlyset.Itblowseithertoostrongortooweak,withadischargetemperaturethatistoohighoritisnot

switchedonatall.Asaresultthereisenergyloss,lowcomfort(draught)andanunnecessarilyhighnoiselevel.

Specificallybecauseaircurtainsareintendedtosaveenergyandprovideahighdegreeofcomfort,Biddlehasdevelopedthe

fullyautomaticandenergysavingCHIPS-technology.TheCHIPS-technologyadjuststhedischargetemperatureandthestrength

oftheairstreamtothechangingconditionsroundthedoorwayindependentofeachother.Thetechnologyhasbeentranslated

intoafullyautomaticcontrolforIndAC industrial aircurtain.ThediagrambelowclarifiestheoperationoftheCHIPS-technology

invariousconditions.

temperatureandthedoorheight.Theairinlettemperaturesensor(4)measurestheactualroomtemperature.Basedonthisroomtemperaturethedischargetemperatureisbeingcalculated.Ifnecessary,thefanspeedisadjusted.

PrecisesettingsTheaircurtainisequippedasstandardwithenergysavingandhighperformanceECfans.Thesefanshavesteplesscontrol.

Theautomaticcontroldoesnothavetochoosebetweenpre-determinedspeedsettings,butcanbesettotheexactlevel

required.Thisprovidesamaximalseparationefficiency,whilstkeepingtheenergysavingsatanoptimallevel.

whichissituatedinsidetheaircurtain.Usageandfaultdiagnosticdatacanbeeasilyextracted

viatheb-touchdataport.Thedataportalsopermitssoftwareupdates,whichmeansitisno

longernecessarytoopentheunitforthis.Extractinginformationfromtheaircurtaincaneasily

beachievedviatheb-touch.Onceset,thecontrolpanelisnolongernecessary.

touchandModbuscanbeusedinparallelallowinglocalandremotecontroloftheaircurtain.

exchangeofair,resultingincoldairenteringandwarmheatedairflowingout.Anaircurtain

aboveornexttotheopendoorprovidesseparationofthetwoclimates.Whilstdevelopingthe

IndAC ,Biddlechosetouseitswell-knownoutletdischargepattern,theDoubleRectifier.The

IndAC isequippedwithradialbackwardcurvedfanswhichhomogeneouslydistributetheair

acrossthewholedischargeopening,producinghighefficiencyandcomfortlevels.

IfaconventionalindustrialaircurtainwithoutarectifierdischargesairatthesamevelocityasaunitwithaDoubleRectifier,the

downwardpenetrationistangiblyless.Theairstreamdoesnotreachthefloor,andtheopendoorisnotcoveredoffproperly.

Consequencesincludedraught,lossofheatandcomfortcomplaints.

ExcellentdownwardpenetrationDuetotheindustrialaircurtainwithaDoubleRectifiertheincomingcoldairisheatedsothatitisnolongerexperiencedas

draught.TheDoubleRectifierhasverticalfinsmountedontopofthehorizontalfinstostreamlinetheairflowinabetterway,

resultinginanexcellentdownwardpenetration.

TheIndAC makessuretheair,whichisabouttoflowoutthroughtheopendoor,staysintheroom.TheDoubleRectifier,which

minimizesturbulenceinthedischargeairstreamandsurroundingair,ensuresthattheairmovementgeneratedbythefans,is

directeddownwardinadeeplypenetratinglaminarairstream.Asaconsequencetheenergyconsumptionisreducedand

comfortlevelsareincreasedallyearround.

fulllengthorwidthofthedoorway.Fortheverticalpositiontherearetwooptions:squaretothewallandparalleltothewall.The

unitshouldalwaysbepositionedasclosetothedooraspossible.Incasethesituationdoesnotallowapositionclosetothe
