Áine - A Wee Bit of Irish Music
310 E. Tyler Parkway Payson, AZ 85541 928-474-3912 majesticrim.com
The Heartbeat of Payson, AZ >>>
Did you know >>> This toe-tappin’, hand-clappin’ and body-bouncin’ music was all the buzz at Majestic Rim Retirement Living. The six members of Aine thoroughly entertained the 100+ audience attendees with great music, fantastic Gaelic songs and tales of the Irish lifestyle. There wasn’t a person present that didn’t have a smile on their face nor a leap in their step. A special thanks to all who joined us and until we meet again!
Enjoy the spring season,
Your friends at Majestic Rim Retirement Living
That Buffy Norton has been with Majestic Rim for seven months and she has charmed her way into all our hearts. She feels blessed to be so welcomed by all the
Guided by goodness, loyalty, faith, and fun
residents and cherishes their friendships and hugs. She grew up in California and moved to Arizona just about a year ago. She learned that she really has a heart working with elders. Buffy commented, “Residents teach life lessons.” She feels rewarded every day when she comes to work. She is excited to see spring come so that she can get in her garden and take long walks with her husband, Chris and Brownie, her lil’ puppy. She loves living in Payson, “Every day is a vacation because the people are kind, the weather is wonderful and there is little to worry about.” Next time you see Buffy share a hug and be blessed back!

Mothers are Special
“Mothers and their children are in a category all their own. There’s no bond so strong in the entire world. No love so instantaneous and forgiving.” ~ Gail Tsukiyama, Dreaming Water “My mother… she is beautiful, softened at the edges and tempered with a spine of steel. I want to grow old and be like her.” ~ Jodi Picoult “Mothers were the only ones you could depend on to tell the whole, unvarnished truth.” ~ Margaret Dilloway, How to Be an American Housewife “I will look after you and I will look after anybody you say needs to be looked after, any way you say. I am here. I brought my whole self to you. I am your mother.” ~ Maya Angelou, Mom & Me & Mom

to join the combat roles in the field. The original goal was to attain 25,000 women to join the WAAC. By November of 1942 the program expanded to 150,000 women. The demands for civil servants grew among all military branches and in 1943 Congress approved the auxiliary full military status. During the next several years, women sought military positions in both enlisted and officer ranks. Although many continued serving as typists and office generalist, nearly 50 percent of the work force transitioned to the Auxiliary Air Force (AAF) in roles of cryptographers, radio operators, sheet metal workers and even control tower operators. Pictured above: WAACs pose by the tail guns of a 401st BG B-17 at an 8th Air Force Base in England in January 1944.
